    I believe most of the oil from BHP off shore blow out in the Gulf of Mexico is on the bottom too. Maybe oil is oil.

    I just find it interesting how the topic may be consistent but the focal point swaps around on here with every post because that's an easy way to appear to "win" a discussion. I stopped replying because that gets tiring quickly. However the last few pages didn't disappoint when it comes to that trend continuing.

    Oh, you don't want to get me going again do you? Just ruined my whole week. Why are we negotiating with these people? Who elected them? Do they have a social license or is that only for development supporters?
    These groups have turned Northern BC into an impoverished 3rd world run by un-elected, US funded NGO's. BC gov is afraid of them.
    BTW Prince George is not Northern BC on any map Ive ever seen, not even half way north.

    If you're talking about the Great Bear Rainforest agreement , its a resource use agreement between the Province , industry and First Nations

    If by " these people " you mean First Nations , its law that they have to be consulted

    Why does this ruin your week?

    I can appreciate you live significantly further north than PG, in one of Canada's Territories, yet Prince George, IS 'halfway up' in BC, and is known as the transportation hub and the last significant municipality for Northern BC, which is anything in BC north of Prince George. (Many maps show Prince George in Northern BC; were you thinking of Prince Rupert on the coast?) Just to the east of Vanderhoof, about an hours drive due west of Prince George is the geographical center of BC. Don't know how you figure Northern BC is run by unelected US NGOs - you are out to lunch there.
