What did you get for a new welder?

 

Defiantly good for light wheeling and mostly daily driving not so great in a dedicated trail rig. one of my friends has issues with his but he also goes full retard when he wheels.

 

Went to the RI auto show, wasn't too bad. I am most impressed with the new Titan XD. Tomorrow heading up to Rockingham for the motorcycle show.

 

I missed the Boston show, so I'll go to the Providence show tomorrow.

 

My family and I used to go to the Boston show, but since they moved to a smaller venue, we stopped going. We used to be able to get free tickets to the RI show by going to a dealer and asking, or even in Motor Trend, but that also stopped this year as well. First time we had to pay in 6 years!

 

I have a lock right in the front but need something for the rear .

 

To bad you have a jeep . I have a Detroit Tru trac in my 4Runner .

 

The Boston venue is still quite a bit bigger than the Providence venue. Unless they've moved it recently. I might have missed last years too.

That pre 64 Winchester model 70 is pretty! I have a pre 64 chambered in 300hh magnum... I'll let you know when I'm off again! Going off again soon to grab some spools for the new welder! I'd love to grab a beer!

 

The one in Boston is big (they used to use the Bayside Expo center, but moved to a bigger venue, which I can't think of the name), but the time we went to the new place, half of it was empty, so they didn't have many cars on display.

 

Damn, you picking up something different or just thinning the herd? I like that Winchester, I'm looking for something in that caliber or maybe a little smaller but I'm keeping an eye out for a lever action. You shouldn't have any trouble selling those, they are nice!

 

Went to the auto show. I like the interior of the new Tacoma, and the wheels. The rest is meh. They had a Limited for $40k and Sport for $38k on display. And supposedly they aren't supposed to be more expensive than the 2nd gens. The Tundra they had on display was $40k for a SR5. I checked out the Canyon. It's a little smaller than the Taco, and it definitely feels like it while sitting in it. The roofline where it meets the windshield is too low. There was an offroad version that looked nice though. Even the Sierra felt cramp on the inside.

 

The providence show seemed to have less cars this time. In fact, I don't remember seeing anything from Subaru while I was there.

You are right, Subaru was at the show last year, but not this year which is odd. Overall, it is still neat to see all the new models, and get a year subscription to Motor Trend. But I will most likely skip next year, as it not worth $12 to get in.

 

Nice..I walked by the K1 the other night seeing Point Break with an old childhood buddy of mine. Never been to that or F1 though

 

oh do it! The model 70 is amazing to shoot. I love mine, everyone I bring to the range gets a real "kick" out of it too! The 300hh feels like a shotgun, I bet in 30.06 it would be perfect though.

 

Parked next to a Colorado yesterday. My opinion GM is still stuck in 1999 with their designs and components. The only good thing they have done (and this is debatable) is to drop in a diesel..again from technology they have been implementing in Europe for years. the fact Dodge and GM in particular still exist prove to me that we have very low standards here in NA.
