With my 3inch lift I did 285 70 17 on sport wheels and 1.25 spacers. Just had to take little mud flaps off front

I had the same thing, then I went from Amazon Spacers to Icon Ex travel, and had to chop the shit out of my Cab mount and pinch weld.

If I buy, say, Total Chaos UCAs for better alignment, can I get rid of my wheel spacers or will the tires still rub? I'll be getting new rims as well, probably the -12mm offset and 4.5" back spacing.

You'd have to do the math there. Tire size matters too. Search the site for backspace and offset for your wheel/tire combo. There are a bunch of 'will it fit threads' someone probably has reported on the exact set up you're looking at

My WAG is that you'll be okay, but it will be close.

I've just put on a rancho 2.5"lift, 285/70/17, as recommended by rancho, I went with American racing wheels, the offset of these wheels are very close to the factory offset, and I have no rubbing nor did I have to trim or remove anything.

Good on ya. :). How's the ride?

Somewhere between 2.25 and 2.75 is the magic number where one you cross it of things get complicated. And it's all different based on the tolerance stacking in your truck.

The ride is like night and day...the original stock suspension was based on a standard SR5 package, so it was just your base model truck 4x4. This new set up is awesome, ride is comfortable, and with this suspension, my 25' camper tows much better, the Taco sticks to the road like glue...so glad I went down this road with the new set up...and you are right, 2.25 and 2.75 is the sweet spot for lift.

Thanks. Your setup looks good. That's the stance I'm looking for. And no scrubbing correct? 3 inch rough country in front and 1inch block in rear?

Appreciate it, just some rubbing on the fenders but it was easy to trim, and yes rough county 3 inch lift.

Could I do 16x10 with the 3inch lift and 265s and it not scrub?

I did 3" Rough Country Lift, 1.25" spacers with the stock sport wheels, 285/70/17 KO2s and had slight rubbing on the very inner fender when turning, obviously off-road would cause more. I removed the fender flares, the mud flaps, and the inner fenders and have 0 rubbing now. Here's a pic.

I have a 2.5 leveling kit only- with 32 inch KO 2's on 17's with no rub at all. Both mud flaps removed. Rear has no issues with 32's and clearance.

I'll throw in the vote for 255/85/16s. Tall tire, less clearance issues. Do you have a 6 speed or auto?

Auto. I'm looking for a good stance and the tire not be stuck under the fender. What's the actual size of that Tire.?
