After 6k miles, I start hearing clutch pedal squeak. Especially when you gradually release the clutch. Search the forums, and found out that this was common on the 05 and 06. TSB for this for 05-06', but no 09' ?

You would think toyota would have solved this problem. Is anyone else experiencing this on their 09'? Some say it may be linked to the hot weather, maybe so. It's been getting warmer here in SoCal. But, that shouldn't be an excuse to put on a crappy plastic/composite clutch pedal.

Mine does it as well. 08. Just try to get the TSB done anyway, just a thought...

Not much you can really do.

The clutch pedal squeek has been a problem ever since the tacomas came out in 95.5 - and Yeah...they obviously haven't fixed it yet.

I replaced my clutch pedal bushing on my 96 about 3X in 5 years (I have a writeup on how to change it on the 96)

My '09 5-speed does it in hot weather. Is it true that the TSB doesn't completely fix it?

My dealer did the clutch pedal squeak TSB on my '09 back in February. Haven't heard a peep from it since.

Does having a tsb done cost anything from the dealer? Cause my clutch pedal speaks too :|

FWIW my service manager said they can carry the TSB issued for the 05-06 trucks to the 07-09s if there is an issue. I'd take it in and explain your issue to them. Chances are you will get a new clutch assembly.

No, the TSB is covered by the manufacture if the truck is still under warranty.

probably not, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Look around and there is a procedural write up on this very TSB. If you are mechanically inclined at all, you should probably be able to tackle the job by yourself.

Can anyone better define this "squeak" in the clutch petal. My 09 4DR TRD sport clutch has more of an "achy" sound to it when depressing/releasing the clutch slowly. I relate the sound more to an achy door hinge in an old house rather than a "squeak". Can anyone confirm whether this is similar to what they're hearing and if this is cured by the squeaky clutch TSB?

Mine sounds more like a creaking door but sometimes it is a squeak. it does it at random and sometimes for the duration of a day and then goes away only to come back again later

Per previous messages in this thread, mine seems to be somewhat temperature dependent but very random. Almost too random to approach a dealership to have the issue fixed via the TSB. Does anyone else have input to this subject before I go in for my suspension TSB?

The TSB doesn't apply to the 09 model years. When I brought my truck in the second time, the dealer just took apart the clutch pedal assembly and greased some more with a heavier duty grease. The first time they just greased the clutch pedal without removing/dissassembling it; which only lasted for 1.5 months before the squeaking came back. Been three weeks so far, without any issues. Keeping fingers crossed.
