That probably has a lot to do with it. Lack of new things to find. I've spent months looking for new things and they just don't seem to pop out anymore around here. It's kind of bad when I'll take a paying photography job to get motivated to go take photo's. Haha

 

My interests revolve. Right now its to do with my soon to arrive Tacoma.. lol
Weathers been beautiful here lately so lots of pics too.

 

Looking west towards SF Bay at sunset. West span of the SF Oakland Bay Bridge, with the South tower of the Golden Gate to the left/background. Coit Tower next to that.

 

Theses pics aren't the quality of others but I thought they came out cool.

Seattle skyline last night. Getting much more comfortable shooting with the X-T1. Really am enjoying the platform — very intuitive and has me contemplating unloading my Canon setup.

 

A couple from this past week. Bit of noise but given the conditions I was happy. Getting better at shooting birds in fight! Need some equipment that can better keep up with em.

So I had to get out of the house and take on a gig for a bra company on Saturday. It wore me out enough that I ended up at home all day Sunday but it was worth stretching my photography legs...

Went to a camera shop to pick up a tripod. Walked out of there 850 bucks poorer. Sumbitch. I need a discount store link.

Don't feel bad. I spent more than that this week on camera gear. Saturday is going to be Christmas all over again.

 

hahahahahaha... i was going to ask it that way too, but i am guessing he went in for a tripod and came out with more...

 

He might have picked up a CF Gitzo...but which head? That's as important and you can spend several hundo on that too.

 

Manfrotto 190 Tripod with a Manfrotto 322RC2 head. 400 for that rig. What got me in the store was a Gift Certificate my wife gave me for Christmas. But then I needed a UV filter for my wide angle lens. And a polarizer, as well. Needed a new case for the camera gear, and a case for the tripod. So, I thought, what the hell, I'm here. Lets get it out of the way. I sure did. The Gift cert was a hundred bucks. Not near enough.

 

That reminds me, I need a case for my tripod also.

Got excited today when I saw a package from Adorama. Open it up and there is a Canon printer cartridge in it. WTF? I don't even own a Canon printer. I had ordered a spare battery for my camera. Call them up and tell them they sent me the wrong thing. They then tell me they will email me a prepaid return slip. Then she said, when they get the cartridge back they will ship my battery. WTF? You screwed it up and I have to wait? Back to B&H I go after this bs.

 

Wouldn't call it a discount link but I usually get most things from B$H, excuse me B&H and a few from Amazon. Murph gives a good reason why, he is not the first that has had issues a store that starts with an A and ends with A.... On the Pentax forums when someone has an issue that is how they refer to the "other" place anyhow. Sounds like your getting quality products Don and you will not regret that in the long run!

Yeah one of these days I would really like to get a 500mm or greater birding lens, maybe when I hit the lottery LOL. And a tripod to support it and Gimbal head that is of decent quality would easily eat up an additional small fortune too. But I can still look.....

 

Has anyone used one of the large Flash Bender 2's? Looked interesting at the camera shop yesterday so I picked one up. Wondering if anyone had any input about them.
