That occurred to me too. It looks like they were "there" at the rear diff. The round box has a clear "recently wiped with an oily rag" look (mostly dull, but some of the black metal has been in contact with a rag/oil recently). Doesnt mean they did empty/refill but detective Hanco is happy with that. Learned a lot today - YouTube and this forum are good!

if you have a knowledgeable friend, have him/her look under the truck. the transfer case, front differential, and front drive shaft will be evident to someone who knows about cars. doesn't have to be a Toyota. Take a picture with your smart phone. If those three things aren't there, I'd return to JiffiLube, talk to the manager, show him the receipt, ask him to show you the "missing " parts. See what happens. And let us know.

We went back to JiffyLube and the manager there today wasn't there yesterday.

4:35pm. She had to call the guy from yesterday and get help on what to do.

In the end, after a half hour in the office she managed to refund the original charges and then re do a new bill.

Due to discounts that had been applied... Taking off the oil change for the non-existent differential and the nonexistent transfer box (2 x $49.99) came to a reduction of less than $99

A little unimpressed that they overcharged by $100 and do so little considering a half hour of my time waiting for them to sort it out, plus asking here for advice, looking under the car, and it looked like no car vacuum done (did that myself today) and tires I just checked were at 33psi after they inflated (not 30 shown for cold on the door label) - I'm not stressed about that but it's just sloppy work.

Off to a garage next time I think!

Sounds like whoever wrote up your ticket didn't bother to ask if it was a PreRunner or not, just assumed it was a 4x4 since they basically look alike except the emblem on the tailgate.
