    Hi *.*

I'm another new member from North Carolina. I'm retiring my 1990 Jeep Comanche, and just last week, got a fantastic deal on a '08 Tacoma. My Jeep has been a good truck, and I hate to see it go. I purchased it new in '89 w/ the 4.0L I-6 (cost about $10K, those days are gone!) and after 240K miles, it's still hanging in there, but just barely... so it was time :(

I test-drove a lot of mid-sized trucks and kept going back to the Tacoma. Finally, a friend of mine showed me the Consumer Reports buying guide, and that sealed it. For the past several years, it has not only outscored similar trucks, but has an almost perfect record of reliability and owner satisfaction.

I checked out several Tacoma forums, and TW looked like a great place to be. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Tacoma, and sharing whatever I can.

Thanks Slurpee ... I was near there the other week, in Cary. I see we're both network guys. In fact, my start was at ComputerLand of Raleigh and G'boro (same owner) during the mid-1980's.

Interesting mods... "devil horns" ? Is that a mod? My last association with devil horns was from an AC/DC concert :D

    Devil Horns!

I get my networking bug out now by working as a VoIP engineer with Verizon. By the time I leave for the day I don't want to do squat with technology but use it *drool*

He looks a little worried to me. Perhaps the stock market is down?

    Thanks for the welcome :)

I'm a sysadmin for a medical campus and specialize in network management and security. I love it, if not, I couldn't do it (too many hours).

Thanks for the welcome! (you also Colton!) Nice looking truck Neslerrah! I used to live in Tucson, just north, off El Camino de Cerro. Of course that was many years ago, but I loved it there. Can you still go up to "A" Mountain and hang out?
