    Purchased
a 3rd Gen - 2016 Toyota Tacoma Offroad. Looking to lift my truck 3" or as people have recently discovered only 2" lift due to the raised height from factory.

I am interested in the Boss Lift kit as it has been approved and fitted for the 3rd gen.

I understand some people have purchased this kit and have posted on some threads on here. But I was unable to gather further information or feedback. I do not want to duplicate threads.

Any reviews or thought on Boss Lift Kit ? Is this kit worth it? Any before or after photos?

I like mine. Got about 2.5 inches of lift out of it and rides great.

Did you get the block or the AAL? Also, I'm wondering if you need to buy the UCAs, or if stock is sufficient. I keep going back and forth between this kit and OME 885s.

I went AAL. I had stock control arms on until last weekend and had no issues, even off road. Went to Total Chaos UCA for the added strength.

Why did you choose the Boss kit versus Fox etc?

Price point, reviews, Toytec is a local company and the fact I'm 80% on road, 20% off road. Didn't feel the need for a higher priced kit.

There's a lot of suspensions and it all comes down to what you're going to do with the truck, much lift and how much money. I see guys by the Fox Ultimate and the truck never goes off road.

If you want 3" inches in the front, A decent ride with quality parts then I would use this from Headstrongoffroad.com Its what I'm running and a bunch of others. The 887 spring set at .85 on the shocks gives you 3". This kit has everything you need. Call over to them and ask for Marie. She will spend the time and get you exactly what you need. It was the easiest thin to do. I had read everything on this forum and every set up and it will just get your head spinning and your wallet shrinking. I got everything I needed with some upgrades for just over $1200 shipped. The lift is solid bro.

OME 885. 887 are the same rate as the 885 but slightly longer. Your position on the Bilstein 5100 will also determine your lift. If 2-2.5 is what you want then do 885 with shock set at .85
