Brian I've been putting together off-road shenanigans for 3 years, it always goes that way. I understand that shit happens though. Smaller groups are more fun to wheel anyways.

That's exactly what happens with our groups. Get 8 "yes", 10 "probably" and 2 "no" and we have 4 trucks that go.

I'm with you though, the smaller groups tend to be the most fun. Besides, most of our camping spots end up only accommodating 3-4 trucks anyway.

I think me and another member are doing the overland experience if that sways anyone to do the same, which is why we are camping on the grounds. $290 for the weekend. Expensive, but less expensive than any of my other vacations!

290 isn't bad but I'm going to see if I can just pick a 1 or 2 classes and camp outside the event if not get a hotel and get trashed in downtown Flagstaff.

    I like your style!

That's the only downside of doing the experience. I want to get my money worth, but I also want to explore the area. I'd love to take a day to just drive around. Maybe I'll stay an extra day or something. I'm already there, who needs vacation hours anyway!

I'm thinking of taking recovery classes. My father is my copilot for the trip so it's up to him. I think that's what he wants to do

Id like to go up Saturday morning early and hit the expo most of the day. If I camp then go meet up with the TW group and let the shenanigans commence. The next morning get up, pack up and go wheel in Sedona or maybe run Cinders and drive home after.

If weather is shit like last year I would be more into getting a hotel and hit the town Saturday night and wheel Sunday.

This sounds like a solid plan. I am hoping that I can make it to the Expo.

As of now for me, It would be to head down Friday morning, Maybe do a quick wheeling trip, walk around the expo most of saturday, maybe another quick hike or trip, then hang out and pack up sunday morning. Depends on if the GF comes or not. Waiting to hear about finals for her.

You can't wait any longer? I'd hate to see you find something after the fact.

I'm definitely interested in this. I've been working on getting my truck squared away for overlanding.

I'll most likely drive in from SoCal leaving Friday lunch and hope to get in before dinner to set up camp.

I don't want a prebuilt one haha. I want to build it my way. If it has to stay stock for a little while, I'll live. Already have sliders on the way and rigid fog light brackets for duallys.

Yeah I agree. I could have found one, but most people aren't selling this early and whenever I found a built up one, they asked for the MSRP of a 2016 but they already had 60k miles on them.
