Installed the bumper on an 03. Where do these go on the bumpers? Can j get a pic from someone showing fit. I see the slots but can't get them flush without major shimming.

Front bumper brace plates, attach to the side body/core support mount bracket on the frame, and under the wing of the bumper to the slotted holes down there.

I'm assuming you bought a used bumper? Theres hardware missing if that's all you have thats pictured

No, bought the diy kit during the thanksgiving sales. I didn't see any hardware that matched the slotted openings that would line up. I see where the brackets line up to the brace plates either side of the rad but the angle doesn't match up well without shimming using washers.

Do you have any pics or how they're supposed to mount up and I'll mock them up and check fit.

*wondering if I fit the wings of the bumper correctly during the weld up.

I have a photo handy. I installed the DIY Relentless on my 02 last year...great product by the way. I recall thinking the fit up was off as well. I had to play around till it all looked right but they fit. Passenger side pictured here. Hope that helps.

I guess I'll see tomorrow. Did you bolt the pre-assembled center section of the bumper directly to the frame or did you shim it forward using washers or anything?

No shims or washers for me. Bolted the pre-assembly direct to frame...I end up squaring up the drivers side frame horn by welding in an additional 1/8" plate spacer in there to get things perfect. But should not be necessary to get her hung.

Gotcha. I had major contact clunk with the pass side fender so I moved the whole bumper forward about 1/4" Might have to get some longer bolts in there for peace of mind but it's solid enough for me to tap dance on it so I don't foresee issues immediately. When I fit the bumper I had max 3/16 panel gap and filled with .035. Tomorrow I guess we'll find out is 3 was too many 16ths
