Yeah - I don't like chicken pluck'n music either. But it's kind of a country location. That's why my remote has a mute button.

Gotta say putting a little money on the line for the players was a decent choice.

 

Wow, I got chills watching that. Some great humility and humanity shown there. Well deserved for Scott. Id say this is the best All Star game that we've seen in quite some time. Not only were there great back stories (Scott, etc) but the hockey was actually enjoyable. A 1 goal all star game? That's impressive.

 

Quick and Luongo played out of their minds in the first half. Both of them looked playoff ready and not like they were half assing an all star game.

 

I wish, because I know it's just an all star game, that Montreal could take a hint and bring up Scott. The guy is obviously a quality person and could really help out a team like them that is in total free fall.

 

Yup, good guy, reminds me of McSorley ... a dude who is tough yet can actually play too.

Good sign (Pacific AS win) for key LA players (not to mention coach) on the road to third bling-bling !

Great article.

The Bettman show has displayed again and again that it doesn't like to get bullied. It is nice to see the fan persistence and player solidarity make this not only fly, but do so gracefully. All despite the leagues obvious effort to haphazardly bury it.

The game truly turned out to be something memorable.

 

I truly believe this was the League doing everything in its power to 1.) make everything "right" in the public's eye with Scott and 2.) send Scott off into the sunset where they can say "don't bother us again"

Scott circus aside, that new format made the final game something else to watch. Pretty entertaining. But I hope the players will buy in for the future.
