I would re-torque the bolts then clean the area so that no trace of oil was present. It might still leak (or not) but that's all the dealer is probably gonna do anyway. At least first time around.

Edit: be sure to do the entire pan. If it leaks again, add some dye so you can see where it's actually leaking.

I planned to check the level tomorrow after my commute in so I know it's warmed up. Then if it's not too bad I'll do what you just said. At least if I tried to tighten the bolts and then clean really good I can maybe see where it leaks again, if it does.

I saw it today when I jumped under to check torque on some things.

She is unless she is in a "protected" sleeping area. She's a giant wuss, but with another baby on the way she will not get in a tent. Going to have to get creative or just go on some daddy daughter trips to get some camping in.

    Truth.

I remember being 20 and wanting a brand new Mustang Mach One. Had a shaker hood and 345 horsepower. Went to Sanderson Ford to sit in one after saving a year and having a gigantic Mustang boner just running like a garden hose.

    NOT A FUCKING CHANCE.

Didn't fit in a hard top, didn't fit in a convertible. Didn't even get to test drive because without being 4-6" shorter there was just no way. Damn near had my chin on my chest.

The feels were so hurt that day.

I did drive a Bug in high school for about 10 minutes once, I fit okay but shifting was kind of interesting. Definitely a car I'd love to have if I was closer to 6 ft.

Slammed out with a hot motor, would cruise.

Welcome to my life with my sunroof. Takes away 2" of valuable headroom. Thankfully the seat brackets were easy to modify.

Well, other than slicing my finger open pretty good on a box cutter when digging through my junk drawer on my tool box, Did a lot on the truck the past few days. Good thing my Wife's family is all Nurses and nurse practitioners, went to dinner and they closed me up.

Oil change, Transmission flush, differential fluid, rotated tires, took off my Prinsu and sealed the bolts with silicone, cleaned her up and got her ready for a year of sitting an occasional driving so my wife won't have to do anything while I'm gone.

Bummed I couldn't make the Relentless meet, been busy prepping for this trip. Take care gents, I look forward to peeping in here when I can.

She is currently under a Re-Restoring project.

What a frickin hassle let me tell you...long story short, my new rims were finally shipped, ordered them November 6th.

    foo-f09917706140_ml.jpg
    1. bought new tires and rims 18x8 fronts 18x9.5 rears
    2. had passenger floor board replaced (driver side being replaced next week)
    3. new upholstery and foam kit for bench seat. (TMI seats)
    4. possible 396ci swap coming soon?
    5. new 13 inch front disc brakes drilled and slotted rotors
    6. dynamat flooring
    7. new sound system
    8. replacing door panels that got warped after all the rain (leaking somewhere)

the list goes on, she will never be done in my eyes. lol. Had I known I would find holes in my floor pan, I would have left it for a summer project, but I knew with all this rain I had to do something about it quick. She still runs like a champ. Hoping to have her all put back together by summer. Tough to find time and energy working on it lately, full custody of my 8 month old boy and working graveyard shift in the city. If it wasn't a passion I would have paid someone to do all this work, HAHA

A neighbor down the street has an old El Camino covered in dust and flat tires, I've been tempted to see if he wants to sell so I can restore it. Maybe if its still there for me midlife crisis

Thats awesome. I love workin on mine when I get a chance. I had it in sac for a while to redo the wiring harness and hide a lot of the wiring in the engine bay. I love how there's always something to do on them. We've done the interior, nothing really else we could do, we're thinking of doing a while headliner to match the new door panels. We FINALLY gave up on the shitty cast steel/chrome water pump that kept blowing gaskets. replaced it with an edelbrock high flow. which is good, it matches the edelbrock carb and intake manifold. Not too long ago we lowered the front and had a shop re-weld the control arm pins with more caster known as the 'shelby drop' and braced the towers.

I think when i get back we are going to pull the plug and put in a new rear axle. I want to do a Ford 9" with a posi, it's the shitty open 8" right now. I'd also like to do a Manual swap to the T5 Transmission. It's the shitty C3, a 3 speed overdrive that was originally paired with the 289, but this 302 from Ford Racing and everything else we've done, we've shredded two output shafts and the tranny is about to give. lol

right on brotha. I never knew it was an automatic, thought for sure you had a stick, seeing that you're a natural when it comes to OTPHJ's

on a more serious note, I learned that the "flashier" the hardware under the hood its always THAT part that blows gaskets and shit haha

I am definitely in my quarter life crisis, seeing that all my money these days goes to baby food, diapers, and car parts for the taco and el camino
