I killed one that my neighbor had caught in a snare Tuesday morning. He was all tangled up and chewing his leg off. Literally just opened the glove box and rolled down the window. S&W 5906 9mm FTMFW!!

Uncle Sam trained and equipped me with a Colt model 1911 .45, and that's been my noisemaker of choice every since. I always thought it was nice of Ol' Uncle to do that for me....Went in to be a combat engineer..... I was trained to be a speed bump in front of an entire division of Soviet armor.....with a side arm and a radio. Never listen to Army recruiters.

Grew up on a farm before tractor cabs were the norm.
Spent most of my misguided youth listening to Zeppelin at max volume
Hung out 4 years with an artillery unit.
Spent 17 years racing 2-stroke dirt bikes.

Now the wife is constantly "requesting" I get a hearing aid.

    "Huh"?????

Lack of hearing will add YEARS to a marriage from my perspective.

I've read about this same event before. All positive, and like you said more to it than you think.
In '08 I took the state motorcycle training class after riding alost a year and still learned a lot lol

There is a LOT of info out there. The more technical deals with surface area and the varied mud sand etc. coefficients of friction and suction values. I'm probably gonna wing it:fingerscrossed:
Been watching a bunch of recovery vids on youtube...

I think that's the one I was thinking of. Good read, very detailed. Thanks for the links, I should probably re-read before I go winging it lol

Years ago, my best friend worked for a wrecker company doing semi truck towing and wreck recovery. I'd ride along a couple nights a week. They had an engineer who'd show up at all the roll overs and such, to lay out a plan before the winch cables were ever unwound. I learned a TON from watching them.

Still over here in the land of bowties and blue ovals....For the longest, I was the only local (within 30 miles-ish) TW member....

Just waiting for something interesting to happen.

HAHAHA. That's the exact video I thought of when I was reading your reply.

I'm afraid it wouldn't make that much money....as it has already been done.
