In all seriousness Andrew I would save my money get them from Lowes dremel slots in the frame and feed the clamp through that.. Quick and easy vs welding tabs

Decent Idea but unless you dremel a little hole in the end of the slot the frame will eventually crack and cause way more issue than welding a resi mount on the frame.

I have never seen it on a 2nd gen Tacoma, 1st gens will do it and Jeeps do it bad. It is just how metal works, if there is a sharp point and the frame starts to flex it will start to crack around that point. Honestly if I wanted a quick and easy solution for something like a resi mount, I would just drill and tap the frame and bolt a set of clamps to the side of the frame. I might have some pictures of one I recently did, if you guys want to see how.

Ok so I've came down to cutting fenders with a dremal and cutting flares with a jigsaw. Anyone think another way would be better?

Cut both with a Jig saw, If you get a metal blade for the jigsaw itll cut right through the metal. It allows you to cut a much cleaner line to.

You can cut them with the same metal blade, but make sure to tape everything up. It is not cool to mess up paint LOL

Yeah I'm going to get a real fine multi tooth blade. And painters tape should do right?

You going to be able to get any upward travel/flex/articulation with just chopping fenders on 3" lift and 35s? You don't think you'll need a bit more space under there?
