Good to know. I still went with steel I'm slightly under budget after shipping with the steel bumper. How do they hold up to winching in aluminum?

Not sure on that one. But i believe the frame is plated and braced as well as the winch area of the bumper

I winched three vehicles out in this last storm, with one of them being a pretty serious pull through a snow drift. ZERO flexing or damage.

I used to have steel (Demello) but swapped to aluminum Pelfrey for a weight savings of about 70 pounds. That 70# makes a big difference when you have full skids, plate bumper, and a winch.

I would not get aluminum sliders or skids but bumpers I think are great options to use aluminum for. I wish my rear bumper was aluminum.

I bet it does. I'm wondering about mine once I get the skids especially if they are 1/4" steel skids

Getting bent skids off is easy. you have to unbend them to get them back on, but there are easy solutions to that too. TORSPD helped me out in Houston, bending mine back.

Found this at the same time. too much BRAAAAAAPPPPPP

No way you can make it from one side of the state to the other in 2 hours with no traffic.

    Width 101 miles (163 km)

With 2 hours to do it in wouldn't even have to worry about police.
