Sorry that the original six teams have logos that actually have some history. We can't all be like the western conference teams and need to change out Jerseys/Logos every 2 years just to sell more merchandise.

All that sarcasm aside it'll likely be a arm band and logo change or another replica third jersey from the past.

 

Leafs emblem has changed a half dozen times too IIRC

Yup. All minor changes though. Basically from the stylized leaf to a more modern look. The original logo is still recognizable though and they occasionally wear it. Montreal, Detroit, and Chicago have made similar small incremental changes throughout the year.

This was a big thing a few years ago. Maybe you'll remember since you keep up on the game but the league wanted to change the original 6 logos radically to update them. It did not go well. I don't see the original six teams displaying ads either like some other teams may soon but who knows. Money talks.

The western teams seem to switch colours, logos, and other such things almost every half decade. I guess you have to do something to sell those Jerseys.

I still wear my decade old Leafs jersey. It looks fairly close to the current Jersey unless you have a newer one right beside it. Even then it's a small arm band and arm logo change. I have a couple of Calgary Jerseys too that I've received for free over the years. None of them are even close to each other lol.

 

Yeah I don't expect any radical change with the Leafs logo . Kinda like the team's place in the league standings , why change it when it's so successful lol

Maybe they are finally going to correct the spelling?

 

I would guess that they will change name of the Jets to the Winterpeg NHL Participation Team before they change the name of the Leafs.
