Test fit the 315 mtr's yesterday. Now what's the trick to get a shop to give you more caster? Each place I've called said they wouldn't give me more than oem spec.

Fenders need to be cut asap.

    The new cmc plan.

The DIY isn't really bad at all!

It's a pain to get the exact measurement for Caster. BUT. One person suggested that one full turn of the wheel is almost a perfect 20 degrees, so you can do that to measure caster. Another thing you can try, is maxing out the rear cam for caster, and then playing the balance game to get your camber to 0 degrees. My truck drives perfectly straight down the road, with 0 degrees of camber and right around 4 degrees of caster.

The trick is to find someone that actually knows how to set alignment. When someone says "we can only set it to factory specs", that means they only know how to adjust with the machine telling them what to do.

Did you weld in that plate on the cab mount already? If not I'd suggest waiting till you get your alignment where you want and can test to see if it rubs. As many of us know, the first cut was not the last cut. Haha

Thanks Andrew, this thread is dangerous.

Good call, no welding yet. I did some minor cycling last night and identified quite a few more problem areas. I'll have to pull the CO's this weekend to get a better idea of what else needs to go.

Whoa bro! Slow down. You mean to tell me you are going to properly cycle the suspension?

TacoStag, that could be the TW Stig in black. :)

To cycle the suspension one must remove the coil springs and cycle the suspension on just the shocks. )Meaning with the tire on, use a floor jack to fully bump/droop each side) You will also do this while turning the wheel. This way he can know exactly how far he needs to go to clear that 35. While in there you can set bumps or straps if needed.

This is just for the front. The rear is a bit different.
