Yeah. It's actually not an MSR. I can't remember the brand. Primus? It's just one of those folding deals that attaches to the top of a fuel can. Good for one person but you can only really boil water or cook canned foods in a little steel container with it. It's super small because all my camping shit is set up for the motorcycle / solo travel.

 

You a brave man to bring a kid into this mix. Also I curse like a sailor and can't turn it off around kids. Sorry. Bring ear plugs or expect that he's going to learn some sweet hybrid curse words.

Some more patches came in today...

 

I am planning on camping Friday and Saturday. Will be bringing mostly Mountain House meals as well, love the chicken and dumplings.. might bring hotdogs as well. Miguel's is also on the list, probably first night. I don't have a CB currently but might have one by then.

 

CB makes it a lot easier to make decisions on the move, pass on trail info, etc. Just buy one!

Catching up on the million pages on this thread, this seems like there's decent interest in the RRG trip. I should be able to break away from work around 3, grab my dog and hit the road. My FJ is capable and I have a decent camp setup. Beers and meat will be packed and I look forward to the ridicule that I'm about to receive.

 

I saw a pimped out FJ today at Perimeter in Dublin in the Kroger/BW3's parking lot. Any chance that this was you?
