In case you guys were wondering I looked up laws on lights after getting highbeamed by a cop today on the way home from work cause my headlights are bright. There is no written law regulation how BRIGHT they can be. Only that they are aligned correctly which mine is aligned at stock and I'm still stock height for now... Also looked up aux lights, spot lights (we can have one) and fog lights...

How tall are our ditch mounts with a 3" lift? Also not sure where roof mounted lights fall under since it only says "certain lamps other than..."

There is some sort of legal light limit, because some european bulbs have enough light power to

    A. Not be legal for road use
    B. Burn up your harness because of all the extra draw

I also firmly believe HIDs in stock housings should be illegal. So he probably knows that you have them by all the shitily scattered light and holds a similar opinion.

Pretty sure ditch lights are not legal for road use and at one Offroad lights that where mount above the headlight had to have a cover on them not sure now with led light bars

Not for road use is probably a generic label to avoid being sued by someone using them in an area where there are written laws against such specs. MD does not appear to be one of them.

Interpretation of the law by law enforcement and Judiciary system makes a difference .I have been pulled over in the past for having uncovered lights above the windshield that were not turned on and it was daytime of course it was before most of you were born and laws change
