The step where your left foot goes is a different shape on the manual vs auto. I got the wrong ones first and had to return them.

Was it tough to pop out the caps? If I derp my chrome ones I'd want to remove and replace them.

Not really. There's a write up with instructions on here in another thread. It's a bunch of push clips and the center section pops out then a few more and the caps pop off. Just gotta be gental. If I were derping I'd definitely leave on the truck though.

Where your steps made specifically for the 3rd gen? The reason I ask is because I added some 2nd gen steps for my truck and they didn't level out

Actually, it'll be in tomorrow. Not sure if they order it from Toyota or just get it shipped from another dealer? Either way, wasn't going to go hunting for a cargo net, just went to the dealer closest to my house, about a mile away.

Nice....almost like instant gratification with the short wait. Pics or it didn't happen....that's the intrawebs rule.

I ordered my 5" steps specifically for a 2016 from realtruck.com. I had several email exchanges with their customer support to guarantee fitment. I also called 2 dealers and the Toyota part number, for an access cab, were exactly the same at one dealer for a 2015 as was the other dealer for a 2016. The same model number is listed for 2012 to 2016 at realtruck. Mine level out as good as a stock direct fit. If yours are not level you can adjust with flat washers between the bracket, on the high end, and the body. Use good stainless steel washers with the correct hole size and a large diameter for max contact. I am very happy with my Lund. The dealers offered 4" Westin for $399 and Toyota 5" for $494. The lowest install was $107. I had them both completely done within 1 hour for $307 delivered.
