    My friend bought a bigger turbo for his Evo and gave me his old one, I have looked and haven't found much on here. I am looking for some tips for turbocharging my 1grfe.

    The factory 16G turbo from an Evo is too small for a 4L engine to be of any use.

    I am not sure exactly which turbo it is but it's larger than stock, he wants to make big power so he is getting a bigger one. I really want to mount in the engine bay because I don't want to lose any ground clearance. I wouldn't need a huge turbo because I won't be able to run tons of boost with stock compression.

    Size vs desired boost pressure doesnt matter.

    All about efficiency. Big turbo running low amounts of boost is super efficient. Meaning less hot air. Small turbo at 20psi is pretty much a blow dryer at that point.

    Like my 5.3, I'm running a B/W S475 but only 16psi.
