BAMF 3rd Gen Recessed Raptor Style Grille

The insert will not sit flush as is only 16 gauge so it will sit below the surround just a little. All the little gaps have been taken care of that was the last little tweak that was done. also the grille is not bolted in place in the pictures it's only sitting there.

 

Thanks Jerry all I needed to know, I'm still very happy with my decision. I can't wait to see this in person. So far in my area have not seen many 3rd gens on the streets(Seattle Puget Sound area) only one I have encountered was an Inferno Sport which was my second color option and man did it look good. I look forward to other 3rd gens asking me where I picked up my grill!

 

That was one of my q's.
Instead of white color for the back plate as i think it might be too loud, maybe silver or metallic silverish type color.

I went with safer bet, color match Quicksand.

 

Its my first time posting on this forum because I ordered a 2016 MGM Sport 4x4 Taco since December, Ive been waiting 2 months and Im still waiting for it to arrive (things are a little slow over here in Puerto Rico) but Ive been following all the grille options and this has to be my favorite one by far. Ive been holding back on ordering one but thanks to JLee for the extra day I just pulled the trigger on one!

Till now Im the last one on the list so hopefully I'll get it before Christmas haha!

 

I bought a really cool ex-military hydraulic rivnut installer. Works sweet for large rivnuts.

 

Guys -

If the back plate is flat, you can just buy nice reflective vinyl and overlay it. Then you can change the color based on your mood. I went with an Inferno backplate, but I think I'll end up with white reflective vinyl over it. That should look pretty sweet.

Is it too much to ask to list the order of the members or people that bought the grille?

So That way we know how far out we are and if you can update the list weekly by marking them completed or shipped ?

Damn I think this wait is going to kill me lol

 

Last I heard from JLee, he said 99 percent people bought within the first 15 min of the sale. Only 50 or so of the 100 from the wish list have purchased. I don't know how current it is.

Hope more people buy this. It's the best grill out there. I was only stuck between the SR OEM grill and this one as I normally don't like aftermarket but this one looks like the PRO line.

There will not be a list posted most of the orders were placed in the first 30min of the sale. You will get a tracking number as soon as it's ready to ship.

Like any new production model, no one has a clue off the get go of the demand for a new product.

As JLee said he does not have time to Post pics of every color for the grill or create thread lists of people who ordered the product and status. As the new products are built/completed, which have been ordered by TW members, I'm sure he will take pics to save for examples on the website or to put on this forum.

 

It was a way to gauge interest while the prototype was in the works.
