Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Incorrect the gauge of affects the amperage that a wire can carry with out burning up. If you want less voltage drop you want to up size the wire and you will loose less voltage. The bigger the wire the less resistance you get. Which translates into less heat.

Length of wire also affects resistance as well as voltage drop. You have to take into consideration both length and gauge when sizing wire not just gauge.

The only way you will trip the circuit is if you put a device on the cord that needs to pull more than 4 amps. The circuit will not trip if it does have the right voltage. The device that you are trying to power will just not work right.

I was thinking like a 20' cord. I don't think the drop would be too harsh to render it useless, you could also just tap in a permanently fixed outlet next to the retractable.

I never said it was. That is why I was saying up sizing your wire size, which is awg ( which stands for gauge), because the resistance will go down because there will be more surface area for everything to move.

I also got the IBS-DBS Battery setup,ATO box, and Bluesea fuse block in place! No pics till I neaten up the wiring a bit!

Then how is what I originally said incorrect? The inverter only produces 4 amps, odds are the cord will be rated for much more than that so there will be very little resistance and amps do not drop over a length. The wire can over heat and burn up but that's it. Longer lengths require heavier gauge wire to carry the same amps as a shorter length. Right? That's what I originally said.

The way you wrote it stated that the wire would no effect anything. At least that that is how I read it. It could have been just a misunderstood on how you worded it.

Yes you are. You get more MPG and HP gains by adding it to the right side.

You get only .0000001259745 HP and 0 MPG improvement because it does not have TRD on it somewhere. If it had TRD on it you would get at least .0000001259744 HP and .49874 MPG improvement.

I used a piece of 1/8th thick, 1.5 inch wide aluminum flat stock. Drilled two holes for stainless steel bolts to slide through and painted the aluminum black. A few washers were needed to allow everything to mount up nice and snug. No more rust and it isn't going anywhere.
