I need to visit BC this year. Other than the gardens what is there to do in Victoria? Chirp up island dwellers! I probably wouldn't do any whale related tourism because I did a few marine biology sailing trips as a kid and had my fill.

Also, Check out tofino and go surfing - Groupon often has some pretty good deals for like 20 bucks full rentals included. Maybe go kiacking? Do the brewry tour as vic has a bunch of those. go for a hike up to the trusses in goldstream

 

What about Ninamo? Maybe the west coast of the island? I'd hate to drive 12 hours for more driving and minor sight seeing. For some reason my wife really wants to go and thus might be the year to do it since the stars might line up. With tourism advertising like this I might as well just stop at the OK and drink a lot of wine with the wife.

I'm planning on a road trip to the north tip of Van Island this summer

 

I would wheel along the way . I know some people around Nelson, Trail, and Kamloops through other clubs and I'd stop on the way a few times for sure. The island has good wheeling? I even like exploring logging roads in new locations. Hmm, surfing could be fun. I love doing stuff like that on vacation that I can't do at home. I "open ocean" kayaked a few times when I was a kid but it was very tame. Is it the same in most places along the coast of the island? You don't even need to ask me to visit a brewery . Thanks for the ideas to look into!

Nah.. someone has to clear peoples minds once in awhile from the CBC brainwash liberal pole licking sessions is all. The west is going to hell and a hand basket and fast, anyone who thinks Trudeau 2.0 has the best interests of all Canadians in mind is in for a real rough ride. And it has already started just in case you do not watch or listen to anything other then CBC.

" The west " isn't struggling as much as Alberta is , and Alberta is struggling due to low world oil prices that started their decline during the last federal government's reign and not the current's , however because I understand that neither government can control world oil prices , it's a wash .

This seems like an opinion piece to me. One without citation as well. No offense.

 

Opinion or not, the facts are the US, while talking the green house high road, has almost tripped their oil production. Obama is tackling climate change by making every one, except the US, reduce their use of oil.
Smart guy, but doesn't make us look too bright. We have a 70 cent dollar to prove it.
