Thanks for the info! Another buddy of mine has the Kel-Tec .380, and he swears by it. He's never had a jam issue with it, and he's put a ton of rounds through it. That price sounds about right, I believe that's about what my buddy paid for his Kel-Tec. He carries that thing everywhere with him, so it sees lots of grime, sweat, dirt, you name it! (Of course he cleans it regularly.) And it still operates wonderfully. He's carried it for a couple years now, longer than I've known him.
I do have larger hands for someone my size, so I do still encounter some of the problems like you were mentioning- another reason I wanna actually get my hands on that Kel-Tec and shoot it. I'm worried about not having enough to hold onto.
And also, thank you for your service! Lots of folks wouldn't even give law enforcement a chance in this current day and age, with all of the dinguses out there spewing hate.
Edit: Oh, reading the review you posted, I saw that there were multiple parts to the review- in the second part, it was talking about special holsters for CC. Reminded me of the wallet holster that my best friend uses with his Ruger .380. If you haven't thought about getting one of those wallet holsters yet, it seems to be worth trying. Robert (my friend) was getting bad pocket-printing from carrying the Ruger in his pocket. (We do a lot of messy work- working on cars, in the yard, etc.) Our daily activities are dirty enough to where within a short time of carrying the gun, you could see the outline on his pocket. So he got this wallet holster that stays on the gun when you pull it out, and has a hole for you to slip your finger in to get to the trigger. Sounds funny, but he's done a lot of practice drawing and shooting with it, and it doesn't really impede his drawing or shooting. And now he doesn't have to worry about pocket prints! He definitely recommends a wallet holster to someone carrying the little guns like the .380s. I'll be getting one upon getting my .380.

So the G42 isn't too small for your hands?

Ahh ok. I used to live off the 51 and Bell right at the Scottsdale line. Now I am usually around Gilbert when I get down there.

Never had an issue with the G42 and I don't even have the pinky extension the magazines, but I am debating getting them.

I think I would have to get the pinky extendsion mags if/when I get a small handgun, whether it be the Kel-Tec, Ruger, or Glock. I'm at least gonna get one of everything and see what suits me best.

I am hoping to come out in May and do some work on the Runner and quick Grand Canyon trip. Should have the 4Runner with me.

I want to get a pinky extension but all my money has been going to the Runner and guns have been in the back of my brain right now. But everyone who has shot it liked it. Very light recoil

That is nuts. Do you not have a license now? Or do they give you limited license till you retake?

Ahh bummer but get the Runner running again!

My license expires Friday, I'm still waiting to hear from them about what's next. Hopefully I can retake the test today since I'm here because the wait times are rediculous
