Also if you have the rattle coming from your driver door when music is playing (specifically with heavier bass), that's coming from the trim piece on the window control panel. You can pop that off and add some foam or whatever in there to tighten it up. I'm going to write a post up on that at some point.

They dropped the outside temp offering in 2014 & 2015 unfortunately. I added it in later though on mine.

Yup took care of that one. Drove me nuts. It was also doing the same on my passenger side too. I put dynamats on all the doors and now I get no rattles even at high volume.

I purchased my 2015 Double Cab SR5 PreRunner about 5 months ago. I love the truck but like anything else... it does have flaws. I wished the seat went back about another inch or so. If I am wearing my boots with the thick heels on them, I feel cramped and I'm 6ft tall. It's not like I'm 6ft 5 or anything. My HD radio signal goes in and out often. I wished it came with the option for a front mount camera when pulling into a parking space or something. I would love to have a power sliding rear window like I had in my F150. I don't like the fact that the rear seats can't fold flat for more storage if needed. My wife has a 2015 4Runner and I love how the rear seats fold. I would also like a cargo for the bed. Other than that, I love it. Tacoma 1.jpg

    My 2014 AC SR5 4x4 gripes:

    1. Cab wind whistle noise at freeway speeds (intermittently)
    2. No outside temp feature
    3. My fault for not going TRD model, but wish i had the integrated backup camera.
    4. Ok, i haven't researched this, but the windshield wipers have manual mist mode, or either fast or super fast mode... or am I the dumb one? Wheres the variable speed setting?
    5. Rear disc brakes... but thats been covered

Intermittent wipers are a popular mod people do around here. Doesn't really bother me, but seems to be important to some.

That's a weather app that syncs either with your phone or HD radio, I believe. It isn't a readout for an on board thermometer.

Must be through the HD radio because it works when my phone isn't in the truck. Works for me, the only thing thats cheesier than the TRD stickers is that 1980's vintage digital clock on the dash... Holy retro.

    The big ones for me

    1) No heated mirrors
    2) No temp display like they had in 05'
    3) Tow hitch wiring is tucked under the bumper too low.....it should be integrated in the bumper for clearance and ease of access

You get the backup camera with the tow package, at least my 14 ac sr5 4x4 has it. Mine also came with a three or four position variable speed wiper.

I was disappointed when mine showed up with no outside temp. (I special ordered the truck, never saw it until it showed up.)

This is a first world problem: one of the few things I really liked about my Tundra ('06 v8 4x4) was the ignition. Just turn the key for half a second and the motor/computer would figure out how long the starter needed to turn to get it going, like a push button I would operate guess (never had one). I actually find that my 4.0 is a little reluctant to start sometimes. I'd rather have the computer decide when to disengage the starter, because I err on the side of not cranking it long enough. If I have three failed start attempts, sometimes I have to really crank it (8-10 seconds) to get it to catch. This complaint falls into the dullard operator category, but there it is.

I guess also the jump seats and headrests setup in the Access Cab. Kinda space wasting. That part of my cab is mostly for junk and my dog, and I'm going to make a dog platform like I saw in another thread. But compared to my T100 extra cab it's--not my favorite.

Ordered tow mirrors that are heated to fix that issue

Plan to do a temp mirror but it still won't be in the overhead console like the 05' which I prefer....going to wait for warm weather to tackle this one.

I don't like the trailer harness relocation bracket....it makes it even more awkward to use...I can't see many folks who tow often going that route. I'd rather have it built in the bumper like most OEMs do....a cleaner install like this one

Yeah I agree that does have a nice clean look to it... probably more functional too when you actually are hooking things up to tow.

Not sure what year your truck is, but @adio just recently figured out how to add the overhead Temp / Compass to his 2015 and it looks like it turned out great (looks completely stock because he used genuine Toyota parts). It may be worth looking into if that is what you prefer since as far as I can tell the costs to do the mirror vs the overhead console look to be comparable.
