They just posted a model rifle on their Instagram and were polling what people would pay for one. Most people were saying 800-1,000. Didn't know if anyone had any real world experience with them, since I'm looking at my first ar.

Here's a picture of what the "entry" would look like.

I totally agree I hate ordering from them but I still do!!

The only thing I get anymore is barrels and mainly parts kits...

Dealing with the employees in person at 1 of their stores is worse than dealing with their order system

I think I will stay away from the retail stores since their customer service on the phone is such a pain in the ass....

I take it you have endured the pain of in person customer service..

DD and BCM are hardly entry level tools, so good for you:thumbsup:. I'd say get the bcm upper direct from bcm, and when you do you can add a bcm bcg & bcm gunfighter charging handle for $69, which is a great deal.

They're a fairly new company, and they might end up being great, but I'm not going to be one of their beta testers, not with known, proven rifles out there for $1k. With careful parts selection and sales, you could build a nice ar for a grand or not much more. And if you can brush your own teeth, you can build an ar.

is there a lower youd recommend? wanting this to be cheaper than a complete BCM or DD rifle. With the saved money I'd like to drop it into optics.

I'm going to end up building a Anderson lower with a bcm LPK and eventually start saving up for either a complete bcm upper( that charging handle and bcg looks like a killer deal) or a premium line PSA upper.

But Valentine's Day is around the corner so the PSA upper might be the winner lol

What up guys just checking in on this thread. I recently did a 80 percent lower, James Madison tactical, highly recommended. I used a MAS defense upper. Definitely a good winter project.

People seem to be pretty happy with PSA complete lowers. If you want to build it yourself cheaply - Andersons stripped lowers are $50, an Anderson lpk is $50, Anderson mil spec RE kit is $32 and there's plenty of under $40 stocks out there. Smart man saving on the lower and buying a quality upper. Optics are a whole other can of worms.

You can buy a complete lower and a complete upper and combine them in 10 seconds to get a functioning rifle.

With how much ARs have taken off in the past few years, you're likely going to be able to find a complete AR lower with the grip and stock you want, and pin it to a complete AR upper with the handguard you want.

If I had $800 to spend on an AR right now, I'd go with this lower

    http://palmettostatearmory.com/catalog/product/view/id/15072/

    paired with this upper

    http://aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-18-223-wylde-complete-upper.html

And a NiB BCG and BCM Mod4 CH from IWT (aka, @SFSMedic on here)

Wylde is slightly more accurate than 5.56 and can still feed both 5.56 and .223. @SFSMedic can explain it better.
