Im running coax right now with the antenna mounted in the bed. The coax is made by diamond and has an sma connector. I found what appears to be a boot under the driver side but not sure. Should i poke through this? Or is there a better way?

Around $20 for vhf. He makes them for uhf or dual band. Just search the callsign on ebay

Here is how I run coax out of the cab. After removing the plastic panel behind the rear seats of my DC.

Here is the grommet that I am going to use.

I pulled out the grommet and used a sharp tool to poke a hole into it.

I shoved my needle nose pliers through the hole.

And grabbed a hold of the wire.

Slide the grommet over the wire.

Finally put the grommet back into the hole.

Its water tight and you don't have to drill any holes in your truck. Now I ran the cable under the right rear door floor panel to the passenger seat. There is already a channel with wires under that floor panel with room for 1 more wire...

I don't know about the boot cover. I have a holes drilled all over in my cab to running electrical and other stuff. If the hole isn't used, I just plug it. Just make sure there are no sharp edges to rub on. I recommend running gromments.

Dont forget to put a drip loop before the grommet cause it will eventually get water
I rather run through a grommet running downwards.

Ive been an extra class for about a year.
    An excerpt from QRZ
"I am located about 13.5 miles NNW of Fort Sumter Momument in Charleston, SC harbor.
Im very new to operating on HF, ive spent all my time on Vhf and Uhf since ive been an amateur radio operator.
My current HF base rig is a Elecraft K3 and i use a Palstar AT4K. My HF antennas consist of dipoles (80m & 160m), a NA4RR Hexbeam and I also have a OMTA ( Offset Multiband Trapless Antenna) designed by AL7KK, and built/modified by KJ4ADN. I use the OMTA from 40m to 12m.
    INFO about OMTA ----> https://www.arrl.org/files/file/Technology/tis/info/pdf/9510032.pdf
I currently only operate V/Uhf in the mobile, a 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 DCSB."

Nice! Studying for my general right now. Just waiting for an exam session to open up. Wouldn't mind getting into HF, just don't have a place to run all my stuff since I'm in a apartment with 3 other people. My only station is my truck.
