Never have I run anything with e rated tires except my 2003 F-250 Deisel. I've gone wheel many of times, not I that and never had a problem. But, I also never had to air down when on the trails. I've been airing down to 18 pounds for 15 years when driving out on to the surf. No issues there either.

Big fan of c and d range. I personally don't think our trucks are heavy enough to need E. Have to air down a lot further off road, which then puts you at more risk of rolling a bead. But some people don't like having to run 40 lbs in their tire on the highway, so there is a plus to Es there.

And you know this for a fact?

A C and E do not have the same side wall strength but they do have similar amount of plies difference is there is no 10 ply tire just 10 ply strength tires only come with 2to 4 actual plies it is there compound and durability that makes up the rating

The hankooks actually have the ply designations on the side, 2 nylon + 2 whatever + 2 whatever + 1 whatever + 2 whatever

Also, their 10 ply tires, are actually 9 plys but are 10 ply rated so they refer to them as a 10ply

Well than that's different from everything I have read .It would be interesting to see these all these tires with real cut aways and the layers peeled when researching and buying .And not the crap they show at tire shops

I am with you. I am sitting here reading everyones comments wondering why they know so much about tire manufacturing haha. Good looking tire, check. Aggressive tread, check. Affordable, check. Ok, I am good to buy them.

Hankook has a tire dissection thing on their site and will allow you to see the whole tire carcass
