Weekly Photography Challenge Thread (see first post rules and then the poll at top before entering)

Taking advantage of all this moisture and making that mud puddle defy gravity here in the Eastern Sierra.

 

We're off to a great start!

 

I will post a photo tomorrow when I get wifi again. The connection is spotty here at KOH

 

Hopefully we get some more entries. I have not been a part of this thread until now. Look forward to seeing some of the talent here.

 

Some 37's defying gravity

 

I'm working on something for this week. Managed to get myself in the photo and need to remove me.

 

Only 37's? That's a 4400 car.

 

Took the GR out for its maiden voyage tonight. Found some kids dancing in the street. I'll post a few more in the photography thread when I get around to it, but here's my entry for the Gravity challenge this week.

Making the sister-in-law float on the beach.

 

Here's mine. Daughter jumping off a ledge at the Oregon Zoo. I asked her to jump off the high ledge but she chose the low one.

Looks like we are getting back to a good turnout again on the challenge. Keep up the good work guys! Let's get this big again. I remember having 15-20 entries before.

 

subbed for the next challenge. its been a while since I've done any real photography other than quick pics for instagram haha

 

@ECVhotshot Great shot. could use a bit more crop to bring the truck closer and cut some foreground out but overall nice interpretation of this weeks challenge!

@TheSpeediTurtle Love the subject, i want to make it to KOH one of these years. I think the soft focus is making this one hard for me to get into. Also try and move the subject off center a bit for this type of photo would have helped alot for this one to see where the rig came from.

@BuzzardsGottaEat Great perspective and emotion captured with the bystanders.

@medic2230 Great execution with the silky water! I'm really missing the tops of the water falls cut off

@WestCoastCole Fun photo! A little bit of crop to get rid of some sky and pull the subject closer would help a bunch. Slightly better contrast would help too, she kind of gets washed out by the background. Still a great photo, these are just editing suggestions

@JoeTacoma02 tall or short ledge this is a nice photo! Great freeze frame action

take my comments with a grain of salt. It is just my opinion but its what I love about these challenges. Thanks for playing along excited for this weeks challenge!

 

Awesome! I'm just getting into this whole photography thing so I will take all the advice I can get. I realized the photo wasn't in focus after I posted it and wasn't sure if we were able to rescind our submissions.

New Challenge: Natural Framing.

Using something already in front of you, trees, rocks, a door or window, shooting between people or through a keyhole, etc. to make a frame within your frame.


Same rules as usual. One photo per customer and due this Sunday at midnight of your local time. The photo must be taken from the time of this post.
