    I have a new to me 2008 tacoma dble cab in the navy blue. There is no chrome on the vehicle and it is a TRD sport. I was wondering what would be the best aftermarket tail light to put on to replace the overbearing stock red ones? I have seen a few different designs on ebay but wanted some first hand info. I am looking for something very cool to contrast the blue colored truck and smoked out to still be legal in massachusetts. Thx in advance. Mike :confused:

    tail light lens is clear,some chrome,little red,looks a lot better than the older ones.

    :confused: Does anyone have any input on the CTR smoked replacement tail lights for a 2008 tacoma? Are they shaped the same as stock with the outcrop? Any opinion on these would be helpful (is there actually led's in these lights?) or are there better ones out there? I do not want any chrome on the new ones because I have a sport (dark blue) and everything is painted. Thx in advance.

    first off your truck looks awesome. I don't think I've ever seen a green 2nd gen around here. second did you tint the outside of those lights or the inside? What kind of tint and how many coats did you do? I bought some already tinted tails that are WAY too dark and I'm gonna try and get the tint off with rubbing alcohol and a little elbow grease so I can retint them.

    as a side note how does the flag in the toolbox work for you? I took a lighter to a cheap Clemson flag from Walmart so that it would close in the lid of my toolbox but when you drive the airflow blows the flag towards the window instead of backwards
