Good Morning 50's...a balmy 42 degrees this morning with warm temps and rain today. I'm fighting a cold and I'm nursing a Nyquil hangover, time for some coffee. Ya'll have a safe day.

Good morning! The storms were sort of a fizzle....And I have no problem with that. Rain however was MASSIVE. 2-1/2" in 5 hours, most of it in a 45 minute downpour at 11PM. Several of the local Fire Dept's had to make water rescues. Rains are now ending. 51 degrees and will be 26 by this time tomorrow. I'm paying the price now.....Stayed up late last night watching my IU HOOSIERS throttle Michigan (@ Michigan) Love me some college basketball!

Morning, All ! Jeff... it's going around here in MD. I know five people with bronchitis right now. Take care of yourself !

Yep, supposed to hit 61 today and lots of rain. Still have about one foot of snow on the ground but after today, I suspect the only snow will be where it drifted really high or the plows and shovels piled it high.

Corny Joke Of The Day: Why does it take pirates so long to learn the alphabet ? Because they spend years at C.

Have a good day, everyone !

Finally got my chromos put in the rear last nite. Lots of wrong info and parts put me nearly a month behind. The shop should have them finished up this morning.

Good morning everyone. Jeff hope you get better soon that crap is all over here too, I'm fighting it and hopefully will keep it at bay. 20 here with strong winds temps will drop during the day and more snow. Tired of blowing and shoveling snow already, they shut down 90 yesterday. Snow in the forecast for everyday except for Saturday. Right now being at C wouldn't be so bad :)

Just did a brake job (rears) on the wife's 2014 Fusion. So, why the hell does a car less than 2 yeas old with less than 50k need rear brakes, and why the hell would it need them less than 5 months after we bought it when it was (supposedly) inspected? Shop quoted $350 for rear pads and rotors. WTF! Didn't need rotors, and pads were $37 with tax. How the hell do people afford cars?

Thank Mother Nature for being warm enough to do a brake job in February without even needing gloves.

Brake pad wear can't really be predicted based on miles. More predictable based on the trips you take... lot's of red lights or highway driving. Also, manual or automatic. Also, are you a person who eases off the gas long before the stop or do you rush up to the stop and hit the brakes hard.

Also, most manufacturer's recommend swapping out the rotors every time you change brake pads. Have the shop tech check out the rotors to see how thin they are or of there is any sign of pitting or warping. If they are good, leave them on and just swap your pads.

 afternoon boys :rain: was a pretty good storm rolled through about 3 - 3:30

 stoopid people.... young-ish girl came in the office wanting a bag to put her books in. She had rented them and didn't want them to get wet (can't return them if they get wet).... Ok, you had boots on and you KNEW it was supposed to rain. She didn't believe in umbrella's either. why on God's green earth wouldn't you bring a back pack or your own trash bag if you "dressed" for rain  and KNEW it was supposed to rain  :anonymous:

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone, hopefully I've turned the corner on this bug. My wife is a Hospice tech and is always exposed to cold and flu bugs, what she gets I get but it's good to give my immune system a workout every now and then. Y'all have a safe evening...

Yep Filson otter green oil finish cover cloth wood handled umbrella is always ready in the driver's side access cab door. Right next to the first aid kit that helps hold it in place.
