First Eliminate what others have said. Check around for anything your dogs could of eaten. However I really doubt this as you mentioned in the past this have happened.

My friend. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I have Dogs too and they're my LOVE. When I lost my childhood Dog (R.I.P April), I was deeply sadden. However that was by natural causes. So I can only feel your anger/pain for some D-Bag to take a life away. Thats one of the lowest, most coward things any human can do. Take a life away from a defense less animal.

Please file, record, & document everything asap. If you keep your mouth closed, this will keep happening. However don't do anything that can get you into trouble, because the police will know probable cause in action. They'll know you did this in an act of revenge. So be careful of that. Let KARMA in fact take its course.

You can however call police and file this.

Sorry for your losses. GET VIDEO CAMERAS......then take the appropriate measures of your choosing which fucks them up or around the most. Make sure you holler the names of each of your lost animal while you obtain justice & wear a T-shirt with the last one's pic on it (so it's fresh in their pea brain memory) while it's going down.

I agree that you need to eliminate any possibility of them being poisoned by something around your house. Could be a plant, a chemical, something left under the house that they are all finding interesting, etc. How far do they travel? Could they be getting into something at one of the neighbors houses?
Kinda makes me wonder because a cat died as well. Unless their just cruel and sick people, why kill the cat. Dogs bark and poop in peoples yard and that is usually the root cause. By why the cat? I'm leaning toward a poison around the house that you are not aware of.

Why can't you just go talk to all of your neighbors? Ask them if anyone has a problem with your dogs? Gauge their reaction to the question. Let them know you are just asking because you are considering getting another dog and don't want this to happen again.

Keep you dogs chained up. Don't let them run freely. Put them in a fence pen or cage when you leave - EVERY TIME! Do they bark a lot?

Do not go for "revenge" but try and evaluate the problem. Leave the "revenge" up to a LEO. But do your homework before you jump to conclusions and assume it was a poisoning.

As dog owner I feel your frustration, however one thing I don't see here is that they came onto your property to kill your dogs. Please correct me if I missed that, but if your dogs are out free range wandering the responsibilty falls on you. Sure killing them is unreasonable, but nothing pisses me off more than when someone elses dog that pees or craps on my property. I don't let my dog do that to someone else.

I saw you mentioned you lived out in the sticks and I understand the temptation to let your pups roam. But not everyone is an animal person. They probably live out their too becsause they don't want to be bothered.

Heck back on the farm where I live if a dog gets into mischief on someone elses property ie chasing cattle or something, the death penalty was a given.

Keep them under your control then you can prevent this

If dogs run free and there are farms are around, they WILL eat rat poison. I know this. :(

And if you let your dogs roam freely you are a bad person.

Didn't someone say in another thread recently that bulbs (as in flowers) are also poisonous to dogs?

If you haven't had any run-ins with any neighbors I would think that the dogs eating something 'naturally poisonous' would be the likeliest course of events.

Here is a list of stuff that can kiil a dog:

    I agree...

Control! Keep them in a cage, fenced off area or tied up AT ALL TIMES - unless under your DIRECT supervision.

I'm sorry for your loss but it is your duty and their owner to keep them safe. Running wild and on other peoples property is not safe. Unfortunately, you learned the hard way.

I left out some details on this, I didn't want to drag it out and it not be worth the read to you guys. But since it has got this much attention, I'll go ahead and post the rest.

Both dogs threw up some chicken that wasn't cooked, or at least, it looked like raw chicken.

Both dogs were found at the neighbors house.

Both times the dogs were poisoned(back in April when Maggie(Brownie's mom) was poisoned), they were at the neighbors house.

My uncles cat is missing too, so that's 2 cats.

I understand some people are not animal lovers, but like stated before, it's no reason to kill a dog.

As a matter a fact, speaking of chasing cows... The neighbors dog chased our cows for a good week, and we called and told them if they didn't get the dog to stop chasing cows we were going to make it stop. The dog stopped chasing cows, but at least we were decent enough to call and tell them, and not be the cowards that they are and shoot/poison their dog.

I believe Brownie was poisoned, by, the crazy freak devil worshiping bitch that lives down the road, where he was found.

Her son sacrifices birds, and cats.. My mom works with a family "friend" of the neighbors, and she told her this. Do you see a pattern here?

I could go on and on, but I really don't think he got into something. I think someone baited some meat, and fed it to all of them to be quite honest. There aren't any cherry trees or anything around here, and we have no poisonous plants here at home.

I am just upset that Brownie is gone :( this makes 4 dogs I have burried in my 20 years of life, 2 of old age, 2 poisoned. I don't know what I'll do when the other 2 that I have pass on. :(

Sorry to hear, I'm currently in a similar situation but luckily all my dogs are ok. The only solution I can think of is a fence. Being on bad terms with a neighbor is never good, It's kinda like a problem that never goes away.

While i am deeply sorry for your loss, would you kindly stop serving them up until this can be resolved?

    .....
Yes, i do see a pattern, and you should know better by now. No pet deserves to be brought into this situation until it is.

At least do what you have to to protect them from adding to the tally. Start being a more responsible pet owner.
