Auto Accessories Garage

Has anyone had any issues with them? They seemed to have good customer service prior to my order. I ordered a G2 BakFlip on 1/29 and after seeing everyone on here complain about the cover I called them Monday to exchange. The rep I spoke to even followed up with an email per our conversation and stated it was possible to exchange the BakFlip for a Extang because it has yet to ship. She stated I would receive another email on Tuesday 2/2 with information regarding the exchange. I did not receive an email yesterday and called Auto Accessories again to confirm this was taken care of they assured me they will exchange the cover and the BakFlip would not ship. This morning I got information from FedEx that I have a package scheduled for delivery from BakFlip and it was not shipped until 2/2 @ 12:00pm.... So I called Auto Accessories back and they told me I can refuse the package or send it back on my dime! Bad customer service if you ask me... They dropped the ball.

 

I will bet you don't see that package on the scheduled date.. Bak sends out shipping info before it ships. They are having all kinds of issues.

 

Well I've been on the phone all morning with Fedex telling them to cancel the shipment they're supposed to be calling me back. Auto Accessories says they'll ship my Extang once I provide a tracking number of return for the G2. This is such a huge PITA that could have been avoided had BakFlip built a decent product.

 

Oh I hear you.. what extang did you order?

 

The 2.0 trifold. I was originally going to order it in the first place until I saw the BakFlip installed. It looks a lot better than the Trifold 2.0 but if its as big of a piece of junk everyone is complaing it to be I don't even want to unpackage it. It's being returned the same day I receive it better yet I hope FedEx can return to sender prior to me receiving it.

 

Auto Accessories is a family owned and operated business out of Frankfort, Illinois. I have talked with them about the AVS Vent Visors, (Low profile) and they were very helpful. I would not be hesitate placing an order with them.

 

I'm just confused how it shipped today after this message and 2 phone calls. Also if I do receive the cover I'll have to pay to have it returned. It's my fault I ordered the cover however they should have told me on Monday it couldn't be done and to return the cover on my dime after I receive it.

 

Update: I spoke to FedEx and supposedly they are returning the package to sender without delivery. I then called Auto Accessories and gave them my case number and they are processes an exchange. Hopefully this all works out....
