Good... I can't take gyms sometimes. Like seriously what is the point of being so jacked you looked like your going to topel over? Sure you can bench some ungodly amount but when is that ever going to help you in life lol. People like that just make me shake my head. Its became too much of an obsession for some people. And now kids want to do it and take WHATEVER is neseccary to "look big".

I love working out and running so I'm phiscally fit and life and challenges are easier. But I would be wasting time of I went in the gym everyday to just look big. I mean yeah that is always a plus of working out, but it shouldn't be anyone's objective in my opinion.

I'm still trying figure out why it's so necessary to have music while working out. I mean I do like some back ground music to break the silence. But it's like people have became dependent on pre work out and music for some kind of motivation. That's my generation for you. We have to take something to get motivated...

    Rant over, carry on

since when is white rice bad for you lol?

    x1234343454

true. Eat + lift + sleep = gains

what's wrong with mirin? Jk...if you're gonna take pics, do it discreetly, but I look at myself when I workout all the time. What's the point of developing muscles if you don't look at them? I'm not going to take my shirt off and flex in the gym, but if I put in years of sweat to build muscle, I'm gonna look at it. That's like buying a Mercedes and never looking at it. If you earn it, enjoy it!

    wut?

People want to be big/ripped b/c they don't want to be average. Who the fuck wants to half-ass something? I give 1000% in whatever I do. If I'm going to workout, I'm going to attempt to be the best at it. When is being able to lift heavy weight going to help you out in life is like asking a runner why they wanna be in such good shape that they need to run a 15k or a chess player why they need to learn to play chess so well. It's a hobby and people who give 2 shits about a hobby don't half-ass it. You don't have to take "whatever is necessary" to look big, but you do have to eat. Use the resources you have to accomplish the goals you want to. Just because you don't get why someone wants to "be big", doesn't mean it's stupid.

As for the music thing, music motivates everyone and has for the past 40000 years. The same reason they play music in sports, dances, movies, weddings, clubs, etc. Music puts people in a mood and if music is going to help someone lift, why not use it?!

You don't have to take pre-workouts to get motivated, but pre-workouts contain caffeine, which energize people. Energy is needed for the gym. Again, it's a tool to help a person in the gym. Why not use it?

You stay mediocre and I'll continue to push myself futher. Different strokes for different folks

Thatsf fine, but why take a pic? Can't remember what you look like? lol

I understand it's a hobby just like modding a truck and whatever. Yeah your right on the life thing, I'll agree with you on that one. And I'm not saying everyone takes whatever to be big, but I do know kids who will take whatever is necessary( even thinking about trying steriods) just to look big, why wreck your body?

And I understand the music thing, but why be dependent on something to get you motivated? Why not be able to get yourself motivated well, by yourself? Your not always going to be able to have music wherever you go. Wouldn't be more helpful in life to get motivation from, well within?

And people can't get energy to make themselves healthy? Again why be dependent on something for extra energy. The best time to do something is when you don't want to do it. Isn't that what working out i about? Facing challenges? Pushing yourself? Doing that one extra rep when your body says no? Don't you kind of loose that sense when you depend on all these things?

I don't hate gyms in all sense, just some stereotypical things I guess. I go to the gum or run at least a couple days a week. I want to be strong, healthy, fit, and look good just like all of you. Cause I want to try to be the best person I can be in life.

One thing I do not understand is why not at least do a full body workout? We want to be stronger and push ourselves why just workout half your body, this is what I was getting at.

Who said going the gym is retarded? And you can look better then me all day long, but if your a dick in life, I still have you beat bud. How one treats others tells all, not looks. And after saying that, I'm sorry for any feelings I hurt in my previous post, I did get carried away, my intent was not to bash, even though it came out that way lol.:)

Every hobby has its stereotypes. Why do you care so much what other people do in the gym? Who are you to say don't look at yourself or don't take selfies, Don't workout 5 days week etc. What if I say don't mod your truck this way cause it looks stupid?

It's not about being better than everyone else but being a better you.

Your right. But for some people it's just fuel for there self centeredness. Not all but some. Guess that's why I don't like it.

On the music point, I'm not completely dependent on it to workout and get in the zone. When I first started I didn't listen to music but now I do. Helps pass the time and keep your mind busy. Also I feel like a psycho without my earbuds in and it keeps people from coming up and bothering me.

Without caffeine and preworkout I can workout. But why would I want to lift heavy ass weight when I'm tired? I take it to just stay awake after working long hours just to get to the gym. Also coffee has some health benefits to it as well.

There's no shot in hell that I'm doing a intense full body workout everyday. Your body won't have enough time to fully recover and grow. I'd rather smoke a certain body part on a certain day and
give it the proper rest time to repair, and ultimately get stronger and bigger.

I didn't say a full body workout in one day! That's crazy, but you know leg day wouldn't be such a hard thing to throw in the week lol

And that's my point. We want to push ourselves, but when push comes to shove, when things get hard, we have to take some pre workout to get going. Working out is about going when you don't want to not about being comfortable correct? This is why I see the pre workout thing detrimental. It teaches you that. When your tires you just take something and feel better, instead of just working harder and pushing through it. It's just kinda fuel for the concept of lets make life easier where we don't have to work hard and everything is handed to us.

I misread the workout part. Yes most of us in here do legs once or twice a week and laugh at the top heavy guys with toothpicks for legs
