Ive been hearing something like metal clanking against each other when I accelerate but not when I'm coasting. It stays going until about 20/25 mph then it stops. Any ideas of what and how severe it is ?

My first thought is U-joints or "carrier bearing", any vibrations? could also be loose muffler/pipes

how many miles? i would also suspect u-joints as my symptoms were similar. you can crawl under the truck and look at where the u-joints are and if there is grease sprayed on the body then that is most likely the issue.

I found the manufactur part for 11.99 on autozone. Would it be better to install it my self or let my dealer do the job ?

Do you know how to change them? They have a ball joint/u-joint press (clamp) you can rent at autozone...if they are the greaseable ujoints make sure the zerk is facing the right direction for access so you can grease them later.
