He had forgotten that you already had youngs regear you to 4.56, but he said 5.29 would get you to where you wanted to be on the highway as well as give you the option later to run a tire that you're almost invariably going to want to run.

Fair enough... I'll have to research that some more.

EDIT: Looks like 4.56 and 33" tires are about the same as 5.29's and 37" tires... Sounds good.

Now the question is to SAS the front or just fix the steering rack (lame). I called up Northwest Auto Parts and they have a Dana 60 from a F350 for $650 out the door. Tempting, but I need to figure out what would be better. Shipping up an prebuilt axle from Trail-Gear sounds expensive. I would like to avoid using the older Toyota Pickup axles just because they are skinnier. So, that leaves me with: new Trail Gear (or other), Land Cruiser axle, Dana 44 (not recommended), Dana 60 (Tom recommended this if I was going on the cheap) or ???

I haven't a clue how to take an 8 bolt Dana 60 and get some 6 bolt Toyota Rims to mate up. Good SAS links anyone?

As long as we could get it on a stock order, which we do pretty regularly. We just have to hit 5000 on an order to get free freight up here.

Trail gear has always been free shipping from us for that reason, they give it to us for free after 5000

We sell them all the time, from what I understand there ARE way better options out there, but these are plenty sufficient. I was just explaining this to AFTWeed the other day in regards to bumpers, he just got new bruteforces and we just installed new Pelfreybilts on Brussels, Pelfrey uses 1/8 plate on their bumpers where Bruteforce uses 3/16 everywhere. Is the 3/16 stronger? Absolutely. is the 1/8 more than sufficient? Absolutely. Would I rather have 3/16"? Absolutely. You get the idea.

I think Kit C from Trail gear would get you free shipping by itself.

:goingcrazy: This is beginning to sound like a good idea.

So kit C and the extra things I'd need or a Dana 60 and a lot of extra things. Wonder if the D60 would be cheaper and stronger.

So I'll still be able to plow through those idiots that think it's a good idea to block roads for their protests?

Well then...mission accomplished! I like your bars now that they're cut down too, sweet idea making them removable. Truck just rolled out of the shop, let me know what you wanna see and I'll snap some photos!
