You said you are grounding to the frame.

You can not ground to the frame.

Hot comes from the white wire.
Ground comes from the blue wire.

Do not connect anything to the frame. The dome light uses a switched ground, not a switched hot.

So i got the driver ones installed in great! but whats the best way to connect the passanger side ones? just use the wire taps again on the wires from the lights on the drivers side?

Or should i of put both sets of wires into the wire taps that i tapped into the white and blue wires?

just installed this today, I just tapped the passenger side into the driver's side

    got a few questions though....

I ran the 12v power from my switch to the white wire in the a pillar
I ran the switched power out from my switch to the power (red) on my lights
I ran the black negative to the blue wire in the a pillar
    I grounded the switch

everything works as it should, HOWEVER, the switch is always lit, I know I can take off the ground, and it won't be lit, but did I do this correctly?

i realize this post is a little old...

How are you controlling the relay? are you sending 12volts to it from a switch or are you controling the relay by the ground side?

This will dictate if you need a second relay.

I want to know how to install this like the dome light. On off door. If I am going to do this I want to be able to turn them on and off whenever. But I am going to need taco world to teach me how to do this.

Use a 3 way switch. One solid ground(on), middle is off, one lead from dome ground(door)

No, Generally not on the ground side of the circuit. Put it as close to where you're getting you're power from as you can.

White-Grey? You don't have to use both the Pos and Neg from the dome light. Preferably not the Dome Pos because the circuit wasn't designed for much more load. Just get your positive from the battery of fusebox.
