    @shaneckc

    Can you have it look like this with less bubble on the back and at the slant like above?

    Do you want it actually molded to your upper console or do you just want the back side of it changed to be flat instead of rounded? I can do either or, and make it look much better than the picture shown above. I can also avoid what looks like chewing gum in that picture to make an area for the switches to mount to (between the black switch trim ring and the grey console). :rofl:

    I'm having paint mixed to match the interior panels perfectly, as well. That should be available in the next couple of weeks.

    Also, note the angle that the switches are at in the picture above. You have to cut the console to allow the depth of the switches to return up into the console itself. The reason my part is designed with the rounded portion is to avoid this, and minimize cutting needed during installation.

    Looks fine to me, and no hole needed, it just swaps out with the stock one. Built by OTRATTW himself

    I'm glad you're happy with it, but you're still comparing apples to oranges. There had to have been a lot of cutting involved when building that thing. The finished product may just swap out, but from what I understand it's about 3 times the price of what I'm offering, plus a longer lead time. I don't care what kind of face value OTRATTW has, that upper console looks mediocre at best. Since you insist on continuing to compare what I am offering to it, here is my detailed analysis.

    The console looks like only the front half was painted, and the fans between the fabricated part and the switch mounting plate are inconsistent, as well.

    negative, I just swapped out my stock one, no cutting involed. It's the glare just like in your picture here where it is "black"

    I believe you are missing the point that I'm making. You obviously didn't have to cut anything. The cutting that I'm referring to would be to allow the switches to be mounted at that angle without hitting the upper console itself, where the sunglass door is located. You would have to remove the sunglass door (which requires cutting) prior to bonding the new switch housing to the upper console.

    In regards to the glare, again, it's a matter of apples to oranges.

    Mine does not match. It's not intended to, and that is made obvious.

    Yours looks like it was intended to match. In your pictures, you can't tell whether or not it matches to the interior (I would bet that it doesn't) in terms of color, but this is made obvious: The factory panels do not produce a glare. The paint used on your upper console does.

    I think yours would look a lot better with a little bit of sanding, remounting the switch mount plate without the gaps/gunk showing, and painting the whole thing a uniform black if you can't find paint that will perfectly emulate the factory interior color.

    That's my .02 and I would prefer to not discuss oranges any more, since this thread is about apples ;)

    Shane I would totally buy one of these full replacement overhead console's if you printed them. That bezel is supposed to click in, not be adhered like in the photo. I have one of the bezels, so if you needed it for dimensions I could drop it off. Let me know if you consider printing full consoles? I like the factory look, just like your iPad mini kit.

    Thanks Drew,

    The problem with the full replacement consoles is that they would need to be fabricated with an OEM console and the printed parts that I make. This actually isn't that difficult, but the cost would be substantially higher than what I'm offering because of the OEM console. The other option is to do "project orders" where the customer would send me their console for me to build into, but the problem with that is most people don't like the idea of driving their truck around for a month without an upper console.

    Would you need the sunglass holders with the trim piece or just the trim piece? PM me a price on what it would run to do a project order?
