I've had a single cab ranger, extended cab taco and double cab taco. IMHO the extended cab is the best configuration, at least it was for me.

Yeah, I'll let you round out the nuts so then we'll be even.

Unfortunately, I'm becoming like you and will be collecting a pile of parts that won't be installed for a while. Hopefully they'll be on sooner than a year. Shiny new Total Chaos UCAs are due in tomorrow, along with the brake lines and some other goodies, but that won't be going on until I get the spindle gussets welded on my other set of spindles. Thinking about coil bucket gussets at the same time for the hell of it. For now the pile of parts will keep growing until it warms up and I feel like wrenching.

I really should pick up those little hard lines though. Too bad there's not a dealer within 3 hours of me. Will pick some up next time I'm on the front range.

Haha thanks alot man! Everything on my truck hasn't been easy still! Haha. But to be honest my single cab did start to grow on me. Either way I wouldn't buy one if I had the choice to get an extra cab. Just the lack of interior room got annoying.

    $900?!?!!?

IIRC the original TTORA write-up on Tundra upgrade priced it between $5-600 using top of the line brand new components.

Like l said, I'm probably wrong. I just seem to have that figure in my mind every time I see the Tundrs brake upgrade come up.

Then think to myself "eh, stock brakes and pads have done fine by me for the 200,000 miles on this truck."

TRD still applies to mine . . . with perhaps a little TLC in front?

    Tinkering Required Daily

Not because it is really broke and it has never left me stranded.

Just needs some continual TLC TRD RSVP MOUSE <= Would require the 8' bed though!
It's just one of those things . . .

I hear yah, there's no way I'd drop a grand for the Tundra brakes!

I didn't mind the stock brakes until I put 33s on. That being said, I don't know when the PO last changed brake fluid or bled his lines, as that could have a pretty drastic effect on brake performance over time.

Finally got Audrey back together and running, no leaks and she seems to have more power (maybe just a different feel from the ECU reset?).

Welding spindle gussets with the spindles on the truck? Sorry, but that sounds like a huge pain in the dick. Also doubt you could get as good of welds or get into all of the spots. There's a reason I picked up another pair of spindles.

On top of that, I'll have a whole bunch on new front end parts that will all be going on at once this spring. :spy: Not in a hurry to get the UCAs on at this point.
