Sorry but BC has not been that awful, so no sense you trying to pyschologically analyze me, I never said that....

BTW (lots) of bordering and cross border pipelines in the NORTH in BC/AB, more then most even know of. Again I have worked in Industry 25+ years directly for oil corporations this is not a guess, this is fact.

So the feds should just approve both projects even though the original review process isn't even complete yet

No but the pieces that are (loose) are minimal. Throwing up more red tape and re constructing the whole review process is senseless. 90% + of the hard data and plans are in place today, there is no need to start over as they are claiming that they need to do...

I never said there wasn't pipelines in BC , I know there is , no shocker there

I'm not analyzing you beyond what you've posted and the opposition to the current pipelines proposals is just as strong in BC as it is in Quebec . It kinda sounds like your root issue is Quebec and not their opposition to Energy East

No offense, but go get bent. Just because I understand, access or not, dollars won't be rolling in to support your buddies 6 digit spending habbits on $30/barrel oil doesn't mean I'm a part of the problem. I simply understand that, even with more market access, you still need to dilute our bitumen with lighter oil to run the refineries at the right level. Sure, there might be a few more jobs because of the demand, but at $30/barrel the level of layoffs in development and reclamation would still be the same.

You know the problem with Alberta? People like you who blame everyone else for the problems that are native to a province dependent on exporting base resources... because, you know, that helps the situation right...

Actually thats inaccurate , the reviews for Energy East and Trans Mountain will not start over from scratch even with the added review length

Guess what? In the 30's and 40's Alberta recieved millions, which would translate into billions with inflation, from Quebec. It happens. Get over it. Just because we pay for their poor economic choices doesn't mean we should dictate their policies. That's why sub sahara Africa is so fucked up, too many oil companies just being allowed to do whatever they want because they own the governments their.

Really? So I'm guessing your buddies are passing up EI hand outs too, if they are truly unemployed? I'd guess not. The economic stabilization is a good thing. It's money that, used effectively, can reduce the need for future payments. Similar to how EI can be used to collect yourself, get some training, and re enter the work force.

Agriculture founded this province long before oil was even discovered here.

Oil doesn't feed me at all. Nor does it feed my wife. Yes, it contributes to my community, but that doesn't mean I'm blinded and hateful like you are. I see both sides, and I understand that this issue isn't as simple as building a few pipelines or ports.

I am hardly hateful I am realistic to my surroundings. You are very liberal minded that is fine, but I am not ...

Having ports does not solve the issue you are correct, but it begins the longevity for prosperity across the ENTIRE country. States have built more pipelines then keystone in the last two years alone. Being a resource rich country and not being able to take to world markets is Embarrassing.

Makes you wonder why Harper didn't just ram through all these pipelines if all it needed was a signature from the PM , no ?

Alberta wants a pipeline east and New Brunswick wants it too. Time for Canadians to try to deliver what these Provinces so happily would and do for others. If there was any real reason to deny it, I have not heard it yet. Montreal Mayor called it unsustainable. That is so lame and applicable to everything anyone produces that use oil. An example being passenger jets and autos........ Not good enough
Bombardier just got a big bail out by the Quebec government that needed 9 Billion in transfers last year. I didn't hear Rachel complain that the company and product was unsustainable and should be deducted from this years transfer payment.
Alberta has been the most welcoming province in Canada for a very long time. Happily taking any and all Canadians into her fold with very good jobs.Yet I hear plenty of hate from both BC and Yukon people all the time.
    Sad

Yup Harper was a clown never said he was not. I've never voted for or against a (person) nor been a switch voter either. I vote for all of Canada, not for Alberta alone and vote for a platform.
