Not the first time I've heard that joke lol.

It's a funny story. My brother was actually in communications so he was never in on those conversations but apparently the whole thing started out as a gym. Basically the idea was too have a health area for the MLA's as part of a healthy living initiative. Some suggested adding on a steam room... which led to a spa... which led to sky palace LMFAO.

The funniest part is that by the time the idea came back as a plan to the people who thought it up they were all "what the fuck," and thought it was a joke, until the media got hold of it.

The terrible part of my brothers job was how he spent months fending off literally hundred of bloggers and twitter ninja's who blasted away at him because he was one of the people who received a payout when he was let go with the change in Premier. BTW what he received was generous but still well within what is normal for someone in his position if they were laid off. He basically had to get rid of his cellphone and move in order to stop the harassment. It was sickening.

I 100% agree nothing changes the situation NOW/Today, but it has to happen IMO.

It makes the Ambrose and Co attacks on Trudeau in the house over this issue laughable partisan theatre

He gave up on life. Ditched his seat when he lost the election and gave up politics.

Never said you did. hears an interesting fact.
We in the north have a warped idea of being strong independent types but out of a population of about 40,000 we have about 15000 government jobs. The Rest of Canada transfers in excess of $24000. per person to the Yukon government every year.

Every one understands that perfectly well. We don't have to pay for EE, Trans Canda will pay for it. Alberta needs it. They have to have more customers.

The people calling on Trudeau to " think of the workers " and approve Energy East now ( like Ambrose did today in the house ) either don't get it or are playing politics seeing how an Energy East review hasn't even begun yet

Arguably they are playing the same game the mayors of Quebec are. It's all posturing before the marbles are even thrown.

Reminds me of a recent BC election with expected crowning of an NDP government until someone said they were apposed to something..............any one want to remind me what it was?
Pretty sick when perfectly legal businesses are required to submit to review processes that cost 10"s of millions of dollars and the peanut gallery starts chirping before anything starts. Why would anyone subject themselves to such unfair proceedings.

IIRC Ambrose said Trudeau should show support for the pipeline instead of increasing the review process by 6 months (before it's even begun).
