My PelfryBilt rear bumper is being shipped this week!!!!!

Since I have to build the swingouts, it probably won't be ready in time for Gulches :(

I've always liked the look of the hybrid front bumpers. I just don't like the whole fat lip look that most of the plate bumpers give
I like the DTF (desert toy fabrication) hybrids but they are kinda on the expensive side.
Probably because it's a tacomaworld member who makes them.

I was thinking about it today. I'm just going to be a bare rig. Role bum status and just sleep outbid the back of my truck.

I can't speak for other products out there but I do like my All-Pro dual swingout for my rig. For me the dual swingout was mandatory as the DCLB already takes up quite a bit of space in parking lots and campsites and I needed to be able to access the bed without hitting cars or my trailer with a single long swingout. I like the flexibility for accessory mounting on the driver swingout and the Rotopax fuel cans and propane tank fill the space perfect and don't interfere with opening my cap door with them it in the latched position. The Duratrac fills the passenger swingout nicely and has no problem carrying the spare and my trasharoo full of firewood. I do think in the future I'll look at fabbing up a ladder to mount on the spare, kinda like one of these:

I don't have a picture from what I can see where the trailer is hitched but this is pretty close - I can still access the back of the truck with the trailer hitched up and everything clears with loads of room to spare.

Thanks for the input! A lot of the issues that you mentioned are the same concerns that I have. These are the same reasons I wanted to go with a dual swing out rather than a single arm. When I had my last truck with the single arm spare swing out I ran into these problems. I was hesitant to even go with a swing out system but really need to get my spare out from underneath my truck and would like exterior space to mount things. The modular system that all pro has developed is pretty sweet they just want so much for them! I have contacted Billy with Bruteforce fabrication and that is who I will most likely be going with. He makes a great product and is very reasonably priced. Now I am just contemplating whether I want the high clearance or the standard bumper. I think that I am leaning towards the standard with the dual swing out. Spare on the passenger side and ladder/accessories on the driver side.
