Very nice. I hate to say it but the Limited trim really is the best looking trim level on this truck stock.

You can order a P2 brake controller and harness that is plug and play. It's also easier to setup than most controllers. I wish I would of went that way on my 2nd gen.

Thanks! I wish the Canadian limited came with the same wheels as the US limited but I'll happily take the long bed instead. My dream tacoma would be a DCLB off-road with limited interior... doesn't seem like that will ever be an option.

I pulled the trailer brake controller out of my 2nd gen and was planning to use it in the 3rd, although I've had it since 05 or 06 so maybe time to an upgrade anyways. I like the sound of the quick disconnect on the p2 so will definitely look into that.

We use the AstroStart system and the Compustar system for our remote starts here at Mayfield.

Does the astrostart or the compustar shut the engine off when you open the door like other people have been mentioning in other posts?
Also does the Toyota long range starter allow you to use the key fob supplied with the truck?

How long range is Toyota long range? Are we talking like my Ford where it might be 500 feet in theory, 300 feet IRL, and 100 feet if there is a wall in the way? Or are we talking 5000 feet plus like a good Viper starter? Will Toyota integrate the smart phone in maybe to give unlimited range?

It is an 800M range starter. To be honest, the only thing I don't like about it is that you have to remember to make sure the vehicle is locked for it to work.

That will be damn impressive if it works at almost 1 KM range IRL.

Only on the smart Key system models. The reason it does that is because of the by-pass system. If it didn't do it then someone could jump in your vehicle and drive away without a key in the truck. BMW, Lexus, Mercedes and pretty much any vehicle with a smart key will do it that way.

Just so you guys know that currently are leasing a Toyota. If you are able to purchase and take another lease and pick up the new vehicle before March 31,2016 you will get an additional 1% off of the lease interest rate offered. PM me if you have any questions.

Maybe that $350 gets you a remote start.

Is this another 1% off? I thought the 1% is a continuous standing offer from Toyota for loyalty incentive. If it's 2% now that's pretty good!

No, Toyota runs the program once per year usually only in February. Whatever the posted rate is on Toyota.ca you get 1% lower on the lease rate if you currently have a Toyota leased right now. You don't have to trade it in though.

It says 2.99% on Toyota.ca, so does it mean the lease rate would be lowered to 1.99% and you don't have to trade-in the truck that you leased? The dealership where you bought the truck will just adjust the lease rate/payments?

It's here! I took delivery today and I'm very happy. Once again, I have nothing but great things to say about my salesman Russell at Mendes Toyota in Ottawa. He kept me up to date with regular progress reports and always responded immediately to my emails. It was my first ever brand new vehicle purchase and I really enjoyed it. No pressure at all. I didn't even get sent through the finance office where they try to upsell you with add ons, I said "no" once and never got bothered again for fabric protection or extended warranties. He even threw in a few add ons. Now to put some KMs on her!!
