Not necessarily...I'm kinda surprised he doesn't need them....but I could be wrong since I have only researched DCSB trucks

    Why?

I have personal experience with nearly every configuration (the struts and the coils....) and have installed each. Its funny how people who say this don't have the personal experience, they just say OME goes with OME or Bilstein goes with Eibach or even Bilstein is just for factory coils. Just simple logic alone debunks this, but logic aside an understanding of the coils specs, how the coils compare to the factory ones, the coils design, the struts design or even how a coil works all points to the combo is perfectly fine (with some consideration of spring rate and coil bind of course). Then again who wants to use logic and get an understanding of the individual components themselves right? Nope lets just go with mixing brands is bad and fall pry to marketing tactics and the products labeled use.

Marketing: Only use the OME struts with the OME coils because the OME coils were designed to be used with the OME struts.
Logic: Hmmmmm so the valving of these shocks will magically change based on the coils selected (883, 884, 885, 886, 887) and the model truck the product its installed on? Obviously each model and configuration will present a different weight.

A recommendation means squat if the personal experience and understanding is not there. Just saying

Perhaps your factory coils were just so sagged out that you gained that much more lift. This is possible, but with a 2015 I have a hard time thinking they were in bad condition. if this is the case this would explain why your alignment is still in check. Its not that you gained 3.25" over the factory height, but maybe that you recovered from some loss and gained around what everyone else gets.

Before measurements compared to the average factory height would tell the true story what lift you actually achieved. A lot of people don't consider this when stating their lift height.

^ this. I'm just taking what was stated about gaining 3.25" of lift. If that was truly achieved stock UCA's would not get you the proper alignment. I do not see coils sagging on a 2015 but who's to say the true lift achieved other than the owner. At this point my advice would be measure hub to fender on a new one (same model) then hub to center on current to see actual lift height.

I've tried to factor that in with my current set up. I have 83,000 miles on stock OR coils. Before I started messing with them, I figured out they had settled a good 1/2" from "new". So the 2-1/2" lift I put on, raised the truck 2" "from stock". With the new coils, shocks, etc, I'm expecting a legitimate 2-1/2" of lift (maybe more initially until the new ones settle) So with that, I'll get 1/2" MORE than what I have. Rear is blocked 1" with somewhat settled rear leafs. They are much newer than the truck however. I got a set off of a 2015 that I put a lift on for someone else. I'll lose the blocks and use a 1-1/2" to 2" Devers AAL until I can pony up for Dakars. Should be a couple months....With the AAL, I'm hoping to get 1/2" to 3/4" more than what I have currently.

I'm not gunning for huge lift numbers, just replacing stock shocks that have a lot of hard miles on them. Goal is to freshen up the suspension, not re-invent the wheel. New coils and eventually new leaves while I'm at it.

In the end, I'm just looking for 2-1/2" over stock in the front and 2"+ in the rear.

I'm probably the LAST person to give advice on wheel back spacing.... I stayed with stock wheels and Bora wheel spacers......I'm sure someone with more knowledge on that topic will chime in soon.

How much did you give for your spacers and where?

I forget the name of the company that actually manufactures Bora spacers, but a Google search will bring them up. That's how I found 'em. They were $215 for 4, shipping included. Bora offers a few sizes that Spidertrax doesn't (ie 3/4" and 1") I did the 1".

Most go with 4.5 There will more than likely be some light trimming involved along with a BMC.

BMC = CMC = Body mount chop or cab mount chop......Cut away some of the cab mount that's right at the rear of the front fender well......

Just for your info I put rear springs and front coil/struts on here for sale this morning. Took them off my 06 access cab when they replaced the frame. That lowered my truck 3". It had 31" tires on it when I got it and they cleared. Just wanted to mention it. Thanks and good luck. Bob

All that from one sentence? I'm suggesting ome shocks and coils for a budget of 2k. Are you saying that at that price point there's a shock that will better fit the needs on the op?
