Hope this is the right place for this question. Apologies if it's not. Would love to know if I can improve the look of my Tacoma a bit with new tires - without lifting.

Just bought my first Tacoma - 2014 / TRD / 2WD. Absolutely love it. Drove a Jeep Wrangler for 18 years - bought new in 1998! Keeping it of course - could never part with it.

Jeep had 4 inch lift and 32' tires for a nice beefy look. So now my Tacoma looks a little small to me.

What are the biggest tires I can put on without lifting? And will it even make much of a difference in the look?

Not sure, at least for awhile, that I want to mess with speedometer and mpg issues that a lifting will lead to.

    Thanks.

Thank you! Also, do you think 265/75R16 would look better/a bit bigger than the 265/70R16 I have now? I want a little bit beefier look but don't want to lift just yet, or at all. Was also thinking about some Nitto Grapplers or something a little knobbier for a better look as well.

    Thanks again.

265/75-16 is 32", same size as your Jeep's.

Speedo accuracy improves with 32"s because stock speedo calibration is about 3% optimistic. Fuel economy can go either way depending on the weight of the tire.

Do you plan to go off road? What kind of terrain?

265/75 will fit. Not a whole lot of perceptible difference IMO.

My summer tires are 265/70 and my winters are 265/75. I do notice the difference when getting in and out of the truck. When the 70's wear out the will be replaced with 75's.

Won't be doing any off roading. Just want a little more badass looking truck! This is my recently purchased '14 TRD.

Yeah, I'm sure it's lifted. Just wondering if similar wheels and tires would look good on mine.

I think those tires will rub without a lift. You may be able to find them in a 265 75 16. They won't rub but they will look stuffed in the wheel well.

Sorry for confusion - yes - I was thinking 265 75/R16 and was told they would fit without rubbing. But you're right - I wonder if they would look too crammed in the wheel well.

    Thanks for the info bigfoot13.

I went from the crappy stockers to 265/75/16 goodyear duratracs. Overall appearance is much better. Tires make the truck look at tad higher and the aggressive tread of the duratracs makes it look even better.

Did you have to remove front fenders? Looks good. Def. an option for me I think.

Slightly. I love the duratracs because I wanted an lt over a p rated tire but LT E rated is overkill. The duratracs come in an LT C in that size which is what i have and they aren't too bad. I used to get 16-17 city 18.5 highway. No i get 16.5-17.5 all the time regardless of where i drive pretty much.
