I'm getting mine done by the dealer on the 22nd. Hope it solves the bad vibes.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
It was worth the dealer doing it for free before I had to pay for it. Now if this bearing fails I can make them fix it again because I have a paper trail.

It only does it at 25-35 mph though and I can put it in neutral and it goes away instantly though......

If it was your diff. bearing, it would still be there in neutral, sounds like a different issue...
It would have gone away when you put in 4wd!

I'd start with checking, lubing your U-joints...
    Check the carrier bearing too!

I did all that, I'm just going to have ecgs look over it tomorrow and hope it's not to expensive!

I am having same exact problem. I just bought the ecgs bearing and was going to do next week. we just got a snowstorm so I am driving in 4h for around a half an hour and I am getting the intermittent vibration in the front at 30 35mph. it feels pretty bad sometimes. I have already changed u joints, the drive shaft carrier bearing and had a right front wheel bearing replaced many miles ago. jacked up my wheels have no play so I don't know what to check. I had it looked at several times by dealer, garage and tire dealer. all parts look good so what else should I look at. do i still need to replace the needle bearing?

Mine sounded like a low growling and appeared most prominently as I approached 30 mph up to 45 or so. The growl almost sounded like tire tread noise when I first noticed it after the truck was lifted. The noise would disappear if I put the truck in 4 wheel drive. I had the ECGS bushing installed last week and the truck has been smooth with no growl since. :)

mine is definitely a shake /vibration not a noise. brand new general grabber at2's about 2 months ago but I have always had these tires several times with no problems. stock suspension also. no lift

At ecgs, took the guy for a ride and when the vibration started he made a face like he was shocked... Apparently they usually arnt violent... Anyways they are doing the bushing now and could possibly do the carrier bearing next Friday if it's not the bushing

let me know if it goes away after bearing change. after reading most of these posts I was thinking that this goes away with 4 wheel engaged. now I don't know what to think.

Good news.... The guys at ecgs are really cool... Bad news... I pretty much paid 170.80 for a sticker... Anyways going back next Friday to get the carrier bearing replaced to see if it fixes it!

so I guess I don't need to change this bearing. I still don't know what to look at now. the carrier bearing is aftermarket but good quality. I think I am going to go over all my front-end parts again, get another opinion from a different mechanic and rethink my trade in for a different vehicle. I think I am done. really loved my truck up until this point.

My truck has about 1000 miles on it. I had the vibration right from the start in the gas pedal and the rhythmic womp womp sound around 30mph.

What I found was, and this is strange, but after I drive it on the freeway for about an hour and then get off and putter around town, vibration at 30mph is gone.

When the truck is cold and I just ride around town it vibrates. Put it in 4H and it smoothes right out.
