Really, Jason? Mastered telepathy? Yet you claim just that from 250 miles away? Yes, it's now evident, you are the dick. And a self righteous one at that.

I saw that mode. Looks good. Except I'm not worried about someone stealing my tailgate. I'm concerned about the easy access into the bed area, itself. The topper door has a lock, so enter is still possible by just opening the tailgate. Now, I grant you, the topper lock is not great security, but it is somewhat of a deterrent. I saw a thread on the Pop and Lock but it appeared folks weren't too impressed.

@Don5352 I grew up on Slauson & Grammercy in South Central (no bueno). Street awareness and worst-case preparedness is a product of your environment...being prepared to handle a worst-case scenario is a whole different thing than taking those actions unnecessarily. I know the feeling you had there amigo, glad you're all good

Thanks! I traded by bed and front fenders with a local and got his hannemann fiberglass. It came with a longer black plastic insert. The neck is not lining up with the insert. Looking around it seems there s a bracket i can bend to move it over.
However this is a task for after fixing my brakes. Almost done with that adventure.
@SCRunner12 has been a huge help!

My buddy found this ad going around. It's in Chicago but it reminds me of about half of the Tesla owners in the south bay.

You were bringing me a craigslist item from your town. It shocks me that there is people like you in this crazy world. Thanks again for the delivery. I figured someone that's that nice I had nothing to worry about. But I super parinoid when it comes to craigslist.

I got a few stories but I don't like to talk about my childhood all that much. Growing up with parents that sold narcotics and a father that did time more then once. I had went to 20 different schools by the time I dropped out in freshman yr. Lived all up and down the west coast.left home at 15 went back at 17 left again shortly after. It was not pleasant childhood. I should write a book someday.

when people complain about prices being too high for parts, well maybe you shouldn't have come to the dealership.
