I'm about to pick up this exact truck same color in the few days. So stoked. Just test drove one exactly like the one I ordered that showed up at a nearby dealership. Used its existence to get my dealer through whom I ordered to give me a $1000 break so I wouldnt deal with the other place. Talk about luck.

Don't worry. That is not a possible configuration. Sadly.

Wood is wood, and Canada be filled with the stuff. Also, don't feel bad about sending $ to Canada, they just turn right around and buy stuff from us so the $ comes right back ...

Do you normally go to your lumber store and look for a Made in USA stamp on the lumber or something ?

Whats the price of a base sr5 v6 access cab 4x4 compared to here, then we can see if the exchange rate makes up for it. I am seeing $31,720 for a summary with no options.

I notice the odometer reading on the linked-to truck is 307--about what mine was when they sold it to me as new. Water under the bridge now, but I sometimes wonder whether I could have made the case that I should pay only a used-truck price.

Nope, actually i prefer the foreign made stuff sometimes because i know the workers that made it most likely needed their job to feed a family and worked hard to keep their job, rather than some teenager that feels entitled and that they should get $45/hr to flip burgers.

Point being , if you look at the stamps you're likely to find it was Made in Canada more often than you might realize

Also it was more along the lines of me wanting to support local small stores and stuff. Not the whole made in america thing. But im too poor to be picky.

Im in it for the savings.

Cheapest AC V6 is $35,775 in New Brunswick as per the website. Not sure what that has for equipment though.

To have a factory-built Tacoma to your spec, you need to go to a dealer. Call first and make sure they are serious about it and not just trying to get you in the door and sell you something off the lot - it happens all the time.

In October 2015, I "ordered" a Access Cab Off-Road manual trans - sat there like dummy, gave them the spec, answered their questions, paid a $500 deposit. Only the have them continuously stall me until end of December when I went in and got my money back. They even try to sell me a 4Runner!

Then I found out that if they actually ordered one for factory build, I would have received a BUILD SHEET. Make sure you work with a dealer who is willing to do that.

I eventually gave up on AC and went with a DCLB auto. The LB was a must-have for sleeping. I am quite happy with it. The long wheelbase took some getting used to coming from an Xterra. I have yet to see any picture of an AC Offroad manual trans. So I am glad I didn't wait. I don't know if they will ever build one (maybe for custom order). Sport with manual is more common. But worth a try if you are willing and have the time to bs around with a bunch of dealerships to find the right sales person.
