    Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to ditch my brush guard and install a high clearance front receiver hitch. I see a few brands out there and would appreciate any feedback from owners.

    What brand?
    What did you like?
    What didn't you like?

    Thanks,
    Chuck

I installed the CBI high clearance hitch. It's solidly built and went on with no problems. I love not carrying a winch all the time, and hooking it up when I'm ready to go. image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg

I have the CBI. I recommend it to anyone. Be extra careful when winching this way though.

It is not as solid as a bumper-mounted winch. The cradle can twist at a small angle and cause some severe damage. Don't skimp on a good winch cradle. That being said, I've used mine quite a bit. I did have 1 instance at a pretty slight angle, the winch cradle twisted causing damage to my winch.

I just upgraded my truck to TRD spring upfront (I have the base) and bilstein 4600s. The rears are almost new from the harsh ride TSB. Part of me wishes I would have gone with the OME setup, but I was worried about the changes to the drive train angles.

I was going to purchase this:

    https://www.warn.com/truck/winches/ZEON_8_Multi-Mount.shtml

Thoughts? Is warn's cradle good? I've hear warn is the best for winches.

I put the carrier bearing spacer in when I did the lift. I also put CVJ high angled inner CV boots on the axles.

I don't have any vibes, and the pleats don't rub on the high angle boots. I accept that I may have to change front axles once in awhile. I don't care. It's not that difficult, and I love the lift.

After installing the high angle boots, then pulling and reinstalling the front diff for my Regear, I'm getting pretty good at swapping axles...

Warn probably makes the best winch equipment you can get. I'd have no problem with their cradle. Just don't winch at large angles.

Look at Motown off-road. They do great work and customer service is top notch.

Thanks for the tips, I didn't even know the high angle boots existed. Im learning as I go, did the suspension work myself so I feel better about tackling a lift myself next time.

Yeah, I do it all myself. I learned a long time ago that I'd rather screw it up myself than PAY someone else to screw it up...

Got my @Mobtown Offload front receiver hitch and winch in the mail! Going to start putting them together/on this week, I can't wait. Thanks for the help guys! I'll post some photos as I progress.
